Aoostar Nex395 AI-Centered Mini is the latest in the growing area of PC that comes in a box like a box that departs from more common designs found in the section.
The company says the flagship stricks of the NEX395 AMD promoted a speed of up to 5.1GHz with the halo processor, 16-core, 32-thread chip.
This includes 40 Rona 3.5 compute units and supports memory up to 128GB, most likely that LPDDR5X compact covering.
Memory capacity matches rivals, but major hardware details are missing
This level of memory corresponds to other mini PCs targeting AI development workflows, especially those who include large language models.
However, no details have been confirmed regarding storage, cooling or motherboard layouts.
The device looks more than a full SSD enclosure or a full GPU dock than a full desktop system.
Its thin, rectangular, vent-befed design is completely distracted by a normal cube or NUC-style mini PC.
It seems more to hold it in your palm, such as cutting a chunky power bank or a Mac mini in half, not of course, what will you expect from the 16-core AI Workstation.
The layout asks you that thermal headroom or upgradable internal is also fit.
Aoostar Nex395 includes part of an integrated Radeon 8060s GPU, Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU.
However, it also sells an external EGPU attachment with Radeon RX 7600 XT.
Given that integrated GPU already provides a new architecture and more calculations units than the RX 7600 XT, the case of using both is not clear.
In addition, high speeds like the Nex395 Oculink do not appear to support EGPU connectivity, which will limit the bandwidth for external graphics support.
Port selection includes dual ethernet port, four USB-A port, USB-C, HDMI and displayport output, as well as with a dedicated power input, suggestions on external electrical brick dependence.
Without confirmed thermal design or continuous performance metrics, it is not clear that this system can normally act firmly in the roles filled by the best workstation PC or best business PC options.
Unfortunately, pricing details for Nex395 are currently unavailable.
Given the $ 1500-$ 2000 limit of comparable models like HP Z2 Mini G1A and GMKTEC EVO-X2, AOOSTAR’s model is unlikely to be cheap.
