- Teamgroup P35s SSD can permanently and irreversible with some clicks.
- Designed for detectives, journalists and executed, it gives importance to privacy on SSD raw performance numbers
- A real concern with casual Irasar hardware is a real concern that eradicates data in two simple movements
In a technical scenario where external drives often blur in the sea of similar features and designs, the new portable SSD of Teamgroup makes a sharp round in the spy area.
The T-Create Expert P35S destroyed the portable SSD, which already ignores the mainstream consumer market: one-click data destruction mechanism.
While the concept may look like a thing drawn directly from a detective thriller, Teamgroup says that the device is for professionals that handle sensitive or classified information.
A self-destruction SSD that promises to erase the right data
This external SSD thanks for its patent “Physical Chip Destruction Circuit”.
Unlike standard data wipes, this feature claims to have electrically destroyed the data stored on the drive, making it completely unattainable.
The two-step process calls a “anti-mistch” system trigger by Teamgroop, users must click and slide to activate the wipe.
It is not actually a large red button, but is part of the dramatic venture appeal.
The P35S, which weighs only 42 grams and measures 90 x 40 x 18 mm, provides 1,000MB/s transfer speed through the USB 3.2 General 2 Type-C port.
This said that in Computex 2025, the display of Teamgroup, said “bold” transfer 10GB for “anything prepared” slogans in just 10 seconds.
Although it will not be the top chart for the best SSD in terms of performance alone, it provides sufficient thrruput for on-a-go file handling.
The most notable is the target audience of P35S. Teamgroup refers to users, corporate officials and users such as government officials, people who may need to immediately dispose of confidential data.
“End-users are designed for those who carry highly confidential documents, prevent SSD data violations and ensure that personal and confidential information remains preserved under all circumstances,” the company says.
Even there is a signal towards “defense use”, which depends on the level of your blank, can either suggest real intentions or feel like PR stretch, especially in the light of recent high-profile data mission cases.
The compact size and data wipe feature of SSD makes it easy to draw in the hands of an undercover agent or whistlebloor.
But practically, it can also raise concerns about accidental elimination, especially prone to feeding for users. This is why I would prefer to test this device self.
It is unlikely to be a top option for gamers or media creators, but for users who prefer more safety at speed, it can provide real value.
