Twopan has launched Nano SSD, a compact USB-C storage device with an underlying fingerprint reader, a feature we would like to see more storage manufacturers.
The weight of just 5G and the size of a stick of gum, Twopan nano measures Nano SSD 20 x 13 x 5 mm and provides 512GB high speed storage in a mashed-friendly design.
The main appeal of the product is naturally, biometric protection that it provides. The device supports up to 20 fingerprints and does not require apps or software. Twopen says it plugs in and it only works.
Comprehensive compatibility
Nano SSD connects through a USB-C 3.1 General 1 port and the iPhone 15/16 will work with devices such as MacBook Pro, iPad Air, Steam Deck, PS5 and Canon and Sony cameras that support USB-C file transfer.
It supports direct 4K and HD recording on the latest iPhone Pro model using HEVC (H.265) on 60fps, making it a good option for content creators working in high-resolution formats.
It is also compatible with Android phones from Samsung and Google, offering a widely purpose without the requirement of adapters or additional cables.
