I have tested some partition keyboard in the last one year, and one thing in all of them is the same: you will really have to be committed to the cause. Time, patience and little work is required to re -run your brain in all new keyboard formats.
But this is easier for you, and there is a market for it. Many consumers are looking for alternative solutions of ergonomic, flat, plastic keyboard, which we are all away for our entire life.
Also: I swung to a partition ergonomic keyboard for a week, and it has spoiled every other peripheral for me.
The latest partition keyboard I have tested, Naya CreateBoth traditional keyboard setup and something completely new. It is a wired split keyboard that can be deployed by unconventional methods, which includes an angle, or spreads far, allowing the user to keep both weapons neutral in front of them.
The result is a keyboard that looks like a touch control center than standard keyboard/trackpad setup, which we all are familiar with. This is especially true with boards, which allows you to relax your arms at the desk without lifting and rotating your wrist.
Once you start trying to type, you realize that you cannot stare on the screen during your fingers. In fact, during my first few days using the keyboard, my eyes were glued to it. But it does not take a lot of time before reaching an operational range.
Given the physical form of the device, one of the biggest changes is an additional, adaptable button that does not exist on a regular keyboard. In addition, both sides have a space bar feature (it is revealed that most of us actually use only one thumb that is to hit the space bar, while the other is just … there is hoping). In this way, you can use space on both hands.
There are some arguments in the right keys to the right of each board and on the left to the left, but they do not remember the memory of your muscles, so they demand an adjustment.
You will also see that the keyboard is designed to accommodate some ambiguity. Each key is not clearly defined, and it is on the purpose. Naya wants you to customize your device by mapping keys for your preferences in Naya Flow Software. Fortunately, the process is straight: Pull and leave the function of a key for your position on the bus board.

This was an interesting experiment for me. Initially, I did not like that there was no backspace key, as the 0 number key was captured at that location. “Sure, it took some time, but it was not as laborious as I had received.
Customable key is going deeply on this concept of mapping, you can consider each layout a separate “layer”. For example, you have your regular, everyday Qwerty keyboard layout that is adapted for general use.
But you can switch to another layout for gaming, where the wasd keys are arrows on the left board, and there is a number pad on the right. Below that layer is a “system” layout, where each key is mapped to control a separate LED style or function for RGB lighting of the keyboard.
In addition, you can treat each key like you will do a trackpad or mouse. A tap of a key can be mapped for one thing, while a double tap, or a grip, can do something else.
Also: I tested a split keyboard made for gamers, but I will use it as much in the office.
Talking about, Naya Create is not just a keyboard; Each side of the keyboard consists of two slots for additional modules: a trackpad, a ball-style mouse and a dial. The module may not be easy to use; They simply snap in place with a solid magnetic fix, and they automatically connect with the pin.
Trackpad, or Naya Touch, is perfectly adapable with all the gestures you will expect: one-, two-, or three-finger taps, double-taps, spreads, etc. Dial is very good for users who spend a lot of time to draw sliders in Adobe Photoshop or scrub a video track in Davins.
Overall, the build quality of the keyboard looks great. The hinge is extremely strong and when they are placed on the desk, do not run at all, which allows for high level of accuracy when adjusting boards, as they will remain exactly where you put them. Continuous, with focus pressure, the board does not move.
In addition to all major adaptations, the device itself is absolutely loaded with RGB light effect. The impact on the lights under its own keys and the effect on the module is not only surprisingly bright, but also the most deception enough to please dead gamers. Personally, I do not have much light system, but the rotating prismatic effects are not for me.
Also: I have tested dozens of ultralight laptops this year, but I am coming back to it.
If you make Naya something that you can get that you can get, then there is a very active discord community, where users share configurations, templates and setups, as well as troubleshooting and, most importantly that pro tips to embrace the learning state. The end result, people who are trapped with it, say they can never return to “regular” keyboard.
ZDNET purchase advice
Create a new keyboard Perhaps the most strange premium split is the keyboard with which I have gone by hand. Its construction is surprisingly solid, and adaptation moves deep. With the ability to load various layouts, you can swap the keyboard what you are doing, depending on what you are doing, and the single, double, or long -term pressure per key allows many tasks per key to endless use.
The biggest drawback is its price. Is the keyboard alone $ 500Which firmly keeps it in the niche luxury technical field. The touchpad is an additional $ 80, trackball $ 100, and dial $ 170. When everything is said and done, you are looking close to $ 800.

One thing is certain, however: this device requires a response from the user. You are engaged in the learning process, and the adaptation continues when you use the device. However, the end result is the ability to be a full game-shineer for productivity.
