Google’s new Android feature focuses on ensuring that you have quick access to your communication history. This is called contact history, and it is found within the Android contacts app. The latest upgradation of contacts now includes a section called “recent activity” that lists recent communication history with a contact.
If you get any interaction (this is phone call, text, or other form), then you can tap the entry to open the respective app.
Also: I have changed 12 settings on my Android phone to increase battery life immediately.
This feature can be helpful if the time has passed since you have communicated with contact and you want to remember the final conversation. Open the contact, scroll down until you see the “recent activity” entry, and you will see whatever communication you were. You will also see the call time and when the call was kept.
If you tap on a text message entry, it will open the text message thread for that contact. If you tap on the phone call, it will only open the phone app, but it does not make a call (you have to do it manually).
This feature is already rolling out and should be found in your contact app. If you do not see “recent activity” in contact entry, you want to upgrade contacts from within the Google Play Store app.
What I got in the app is that it has only phone calls and text messages, so other communication apps (such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger) will not appear in this section of the app.

If your communication/interaction is limited to a small collection of contacts, this feature may not be interested. However, if you deal with a long list of people, the “recent activity” entry will be a godgent to help to be organized and up -to -date with your latest communication with your contacts.
