The world’s top bitcoin mining app-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) manufacturer, Bitman, is allegedly on the verge of opening its first US-based manufacturing plant.
According to a Tuesday Bloomberg ReportBitman has planned to open its first US-based ASIC manufacturing facility in the coming months. The company allegedly planned to open a new headquarters in Texas or Florida by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
Bitman’s global business head, Irin Gao, told Bloomberg that chip production is expected to begin in the beginning of 2026, with full scale manufacturing by the end of that year. He said that the move aims to accelerate delivery and repair time for American-based customers.
Gao called the US push “a unique opportunity” for bitcoin dominance and said that Bitman planned to hire 250 local workers in the first phase of his rollout. These roles will include training in manufacturing and convenience maintenance.
Bitman did not respond to cointelegraph’s request for immediate comments.

Bitman is in a good company
The news follows the mid-June report that Bitman, Canaan and Microbate-who collectively produce the world’s bitcoin mining ASIC-are producing in the US in response to a favorable crypto policy by heavy mutual tariffs on China and a favorable crypto policy by the Trump administration.
Together, three companies control almost the entire bitcoin ASIC hardware market. A University of Cambridge Study Published In April, it was found that Bitman has 82% of the global bitcoin ASIC production, with microbete and Kanan produces 15% and 2% respectively.

A solution regulatory crisis for us
Production in the United States is also a possible solution to Bitman’s previous issues with US authorities. In late November 2024, the US Customs and Border Protection Agency stopped the delivery of thousands of Bitman Asix.
The seizure followed by US authorities to follow the October 1 investigation at Chinese Chip Designer Ziamen Sofgo, on an alleged commercial relationship with the US-approved company Huawei. Chip also supports designer Bitman’s ASIC business, which also motivated US authorities to take action against it. Officials started releasing hardware in March.
