In Google Search, the user can take or upload a photo and prompt Nano Banana to create a refined image.

Within their prompt, the user provides some context on what they want to keep and change about the room. Then, Nano Banana creates a bedroom makeover with the user’s prompt, transforming the room from minimalist to maximum with a vibe inspired by the “dopamine decor” they incorporated into their prompt.
Nano Banana in NotebookLM
In Google’s research tool Notebook LM, Nano brings six new styles to video observations that researchers use to summarize, synthesize, and aggregate information in a concise and digestible format. Google mentions watercolor and anime as two of the six styles that people can now use when drawing or using briefs.

The tech giant has mentioned that the Nano Banana will be coming to Google Photos soon, but there has been no mention of its launch date.

Google integrated Nano Banana into the Gemini app in August, and since then, users have created more than five billion images with the tool, Google says. AI-powered image editor transforms images through generated signals for easier and less technical image transformation.

This tool can not only change subtle details like lighting or color, but also larger aspects of a photo, like the background of a picture or a subject’s outfit. It can also merge two subjects from different photos together.
