The turn setup is one of the first portable monitor that is interested in working with me several displays and when I was using my MacBook, I did not use my iPad as just a secondary performance.
I have very tested the best portable monitor, however, all of them will not find high screen glasses that you will find with this model. Therefore, I was curious to see how the turn setup is measured to 16-in 4K OLED portable display-and how it lasts to the promise that holds its eyes.
Turn Setup 16-inch 4K OLED portable monitor: unboxing and first impression
When I got my package from turn, I opened it to find a 16-inch monitor, a smooth magnetic stand, USB-C from USB-C cable, an HDMI cable, a 30W brick, and a smooth sleeve, so that it could not be scratched when it is not in use. The packaging is super clean and minimal, fit the entire brand beautifully for turns.
The panel is super thin, diluted in more person than my expectation. There is a slightly thicker part in the lower part of the display, but it makes sense and will still be considered thin in my book. The bezel is small, and the port is easy to use, whether you are using a stand or using a monitor without a stand. I followed the basic guidelines to set a panel to fully match with my MacBook colors, giving me rich blacks, bright colors and grand contrasts.

I am in a phase of life where I am adding Magsef to everything; I have a Benq laptop light bar that I can mount with Magsafe that I keep connecting in places. I like to grow my iPhone for individual things with magsafe, and I mount to add storage to the notebook to give an easy, on-go solution behind the laptop to mount ssds (samsung t7s and like this) via Magsafe. So, when I saw that turn uses a magnet to catch a monitor, I felt that it was talented in every way. The stand sounds clever and fun, it is super easy to use.
Another thing I was thrilled to see is that the turn monitor has some major ports that make it super practical. They have USB-A, USB-C and a full-sized HDMI, something that I have to see on a portable monitor yet. This means that even though I am not using a laptop, but want to display the material, I can use a standard, easy-to-HDMI cable to connect the video output these days.
Turn Setup 16-inch 4K OLED portable monitor: in use
I have used this monitor about everywhere. I have just kept it in my possession for 139 days, and at that time, I have taken it on some trips and many coffee shops. However, it has been perfect for my specific workflow “studio/house” around the monitor. Instead of carrying around a large monitor, working without a second monitor, or unpacking my portable monitor in your backpack, I jump on this grand monitor.
It has been the perfect companion for everything from late night writing session (burnt by that benquue laptop light bar) for evening light gaming on my iPad or my nintendo switch; This is a great performance that I have to help set a server Mac mini that I have and I need to work, it was a great companion to install some desktop PCs I was testing and much. It has been a portable workheors that I am able to trust everything. This display has become so indispensable that I leave it properly where I keep my bag in my studio or other workspaces, ready to break any moment.
It is excellent in cases of vertical and horizontal use, especially when I use magnetic stands to increase performance from the desk or table. It has found a super convenient USB-C and USB-A port. However, I will not transfer large files or will not charge large equipment through it, but quick access to quick file transfer is excellent.
Now, some notes that make it a magnificent monitor, but with a little room growing. First, since the cables hang the base on one side, this panel should be fully focused with magnet, or it can tag in a way or another, especially if at the entire height and with a heavy cable.
Secondly, it is a boomer that passthrough power power caps 40W, but for most people, it will not be a huge collapse, just for those heavy power users. Third, magnetic stand is the nifty and super cool, but it can be found in the way depending on your bag setup. In some of my backpacks, it is beautifully fit without any issue.
In others, the way my bag was oriented, there was no good area to install this stand. Therefore, if you are lifting one of these, make sure you have a place in your bag to set up the stand safe and safely, and then you will not have any problem.
Among all, this is the most beautiful portable panel I have tried. It is very beautiful, and since the turn has different resolution and convenience options, anyone can find what they need about portable display with turn.
