Adding some personality to a TV can increase the immersion of your home entertainment setup. Whether it is with better surround sound Dolby atomos Speakers or one of Best streaming equipment For a smooth interface, there are many types of ways that you can.

But one of the best ways I have found to set the mood for my favorite shows and films is by adding TV RGB backlight. These LED lights, which are engaged in the back of your TV, can sprinkle any and all experiences, especially if you get the kind of type that is playing on the screen.

The problem is, if you are not buying one of the new 2025 Ambilite TVS of Philips – which you probably are not. If you live in America – you will find one on your own, and it can be very misleading. With two major types in the market, you would not know that of them meets your specific requirements.

I went through the problem of trying two different TV RGB lighting kits for myself. Here, choosing one for your home setup and your performance is converted into one of the best TVs with a touch of backlit color.

Option 1. AI Sync Box TV Lighting System

The first and most expensive types of RGB backlighting are AI sink box kits. You can often buy them in separate or bundles that include LED lighting for your TV.

As the name suggests, these packages are equipped with a large box, with a sophisticated AI program that reads the data coming from the equipment associated with the devices associated with the color output displayed on the LED behind your TV. Thus, you will add different devices such as PS5 Pro or new 4K Blu-Ray players of Sony to find an additional kick of syncing on-screen content.

The best thing is that you do not need to do anything. It is too much plug and play, sticking lights on minus TV. This can be taken anywhere for 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size of your TV, but it is not very difficult.

Get immediate access to braking news, hottest reviews, great deals and useful tips.

In my test, I tried Govee’s HDMI Sink Box 2 on 65 -inch Samsung S90D OLED TV, connecting it to my PS5. It gave the Games some serious pop, especially in the alden ring nitrign, and I did not have to worry about any lost performance, given that it supports HDMI 2.1, which is up to 144Hz up to 144Hz. (PS5 is at the top at 4K/120Hz, but if I wanted to connect one of the best gaming PCs with a sink box, and still get serious performance to boot.)

As already mentioned, they can be very expensive. The high asking price is definitely worth it, although given the performance on the proposal. The Govi model did a wonderful job for me, although I am sure a good made by Philips, if not better, it will almost go back to you Bundle with $ 500 lighting kit,

But such a sink is a big negative aspect to take a box: they do not cover everything displayed on the screen, just whatever is connected to them. For example, most of the streaming platforms available on most modern smart TVs will recall on the colored upgrade provided to these boxes – until you connect a streaming device directly to the AI sink box, such as Apple TV 4K.

Despite the high cost, most people probably want the feature and performance benefits provided by an external sink box.

Despite the high cost, most people probably want the feature and performance benefits provided by an external sink box. To be fair, the sink box was definitely better purchases, in my opinion, and it makes sense. But there is another option that you can go that may be more suitable for some buyers.

    Option 2. Camera-based TV lighting

The second type of TV lighting is camera-based. This requires a camera attached to the top of the TV, which analyzes the on-screen display to match the most accurate colors.

Like the AI-based system, some camera-based systems can also be coordinated with other lights around the house, so they all mirror each other for an integrated visual experience. The problem is that not everyone wants a camera wrapped on TV for several reasons, privacy and aesthetics should be two major factor.

To pour camera-based lighting for testing, I used Govi’s new TV backlight 3 lights. It is a very Nifty TV lighting kit, but it is much higher than the simple plug-and-play of the sink box.

To install light, you must first get accurate reading with the camera. It comes with these foam box that you need to attach to the TV, which the camera then reads to synchronize the abilities. To ensure that you get an accurate measurement, you need to ensure that the surrounding lighting is sufficient and not nearby RGB lights that can interfere with the camera.

Because the ambient lighting can cause some issues, you would like to do the setup process at night. Even though it is slightly more involved, you get some stellar performance from the camera-based lighting, as it can not only find out what is being played on the external video sources, but also with the underlying streaming services.

When you are not watching anything, Prakash will work even when the TV is closed. I am not to leave it for a very long time, but it is very Nifty, even if there is an additional light under my TV, even if there is not a touch of personality in my living room, such as museum art or family photos are playing on the screen.

Are TV lighting kits worth it?

So which is better purchase and, generally speaking, are the kits worth it? It actually comes down to your priorities. Are you ready to get out to increase the amount of color behind your TV, but only for your various connected equipment? Or do you want a cheaper pick that puts the most broad net that will sync with all on-screen materials?

Despite enjoying the plug-and-play performance of the AI Sink Box, I used the camera option more. If you do not consider additional work bad during the setup process, I think if you are mainly gaming or looking at ingredients like Blu-ray DVD, then it is right to go to the east. However, if I was shopping for myself, I would just be with the camera model, on a large scale because it is cheaper, but also because it covers everything on TV.

The best thing about them is that both of them are in-laws and work with Google Home. Therefore, whatever you choose, you can either customize them without your choice using voice control and customize them without taking out your phone.

The TV backlighting is a luxury ad-on for a TV setup, and so after buying a new TV, the first purchase made by you may not be there, but it adds the splash of the color where it matters. This is not all an end-to-all approach to immersive materials, but it certainly gives it some polish and life.

If you are what you are looking for, then backlighting kits are for you.
