Uber today revealed a new type of account, called senior accounts for older users, which prefer a simple app experience with features such as ride updates for family members, saved destinations and family members’ card for payment.
Uber said that senior accounts offer large lessons and icons as well as a simple app experience with less complex screens. Users can switch this mode using accessibility settings in the app.

Users in the US can now add old adults to their family’s account through the “Family” menu under account tabs. Users who manage family account can add their own payment methods, edit the list of saved sites, book a ride for old adults during a ride, and contact drivers. Family groups can also follow the ride of senior users.
Uber said that senior users can add their Medicare Flex Card to pay for eligible medical trips.
The company said it plans to provide senior accounts worldwide, although it does not specify when the facility will roll in other countries.
Uber added adolescent accounts to some cities in the US in 2023 and later rolled it in more areas and countries.
