While your phone is usually going to be well protected from thieves, thanks to what you set on the lock screen – whether a fingerprint, a face scan, or a pin – still there may be a time when someone else has access to your device that includes everything, but they will see. But if you have a Samsung Galaxy, then your most sensitive apps and files are a good way to protect, even if the phone itself is unlock.

Maybe your phone is stolen by a thief, who is entering your pin. Maybe a friend is swipe only through your previous holiday photos. Whatever landscape, the Galaxy phone is equipped with a digital vault called a safe folder, where you can hide specific programs, photos and files behind an additional layer of security. In this way, anyone who finds in your phone will not be able to get away. All the data inside your safe folder have also been encrypted through Samsung’s powerful Knox technology.

With a UI 8, now in beta test, this safe folder is more useful than ever. Now you can hide the safe folder shortcut yourself – so no one can see snuping, let it see anything there – and save it from different biometrics that you use to go to your phone.

So, for example, you can give your children to play the game using a fingerprint scan in your phone, but they will still stop from a safe folder. What is more, now apps can be completely hidden inside the folder, while an example of these apps will be closed first, and an example in the regular app drawer.

How to set a safe folder on Samsung Galaxy

To start with a safe folder on your Galaxy phone, you first need a Samsung account and should be signed on your phone. Assuming that this care is taken, open and navigate the settings Safety and Confidention> More Safety Settings> Safe FolderConditions of convenience and agreed to the permissions required to move forward.

Then you have been asked to choose a lock type for a safe folder: pin, Password, SampleOr there are whatever biometric options on your handset. Select any of these options and follow the instructions on the screen to set them; This is how the folder will keep anyone out which you are not.

The next screen lets you choose whether the folder can run in the background when the folder can run in the background. For maximum safety, make sure the apps are closed when safe folders are closed, which will prevent them from sending notifications or being displayed in share dialogues when you are not actually in the folder.

With that done, your safe folder appears on the screen and is ready to go. You will see that there are some Samsung apps like contacts and gallery, such as contact and gallery: These are different from the versions of those apps outside the safe folder, so you can use them completely different contact lists and photos and photos like a completely different gallery of photos.

With the activation of a safe folder, the settings screen change you to manage notifications, app options and even Galaxy AI features. It is like having a separate, indexed phone on the same device, with its own selection of settings for the match. If you ever want to remove a safe folder and its content, then choose More Settings> Uninstall,

To add files to your safe folder, tap three dots to the top right of the app panel, then select Add filesYou will be able to select the files, and choose that they have to copy or take them to a safe folder: if you choose the copy option, the original versions of the files will be in place outside the folder.

Files that you transfer or copy will appear inside your safe folder with related apps (for photos, for example). You can manage these files the same way you will do normally, and you still have all the sharing options available if you need to send them elsewhere.

Tap and choose on three dots to condition To replace the colors and icons used for safe folders. If you have upgraded to a UI 8, you can find new in the same menu Hide safe folder Option.
