Apple’s annual WWDC 2025 conference is officially set for June 9, which means the new Apple Watch facilities are likely to be around the corner. WWDC occurs when we achieve our first official form in Cupertino’s latest software not only for Apple Watch, but also for iPhone, iPad, IMAC and more.
Last year’s Watchos 11 release introduced the weight of useful features. Many of my favorite include on-a-relay translation, access to Apple’s check in the safety tool, a global tide-tracking app and the ability to prevent and accommodate their fitness rings.
Apple also added a new VITALS app to streamline health monitoring devices in an easy dashboard.
The big news is that Apple wants to unite your experience in all the operating systems of the company, including Apple Watch, as well as converting Watches into a year-based system.
Instead of Watus 12, we should get Watches 26.
So, what do the new tasks and apps like this year’s Watches for this year’s Watches release? Rumors and leaks are still light, but we have some insight. Read for what we know about Watches 26 so far.
When will the Watchos 26 launch?
With the set of WWDC 9 June, a good chance that Apple will release a developer beta of the available operating system on the same day, is likely to follow some time in July with a public beta.
Ultimately, the stage-redi version of Watches 26 is expected to come in September, possibly with the new line of the brand’s new line smartwatch, which can include and include Apple Watch SE3, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11.
What new features are possible from Watchos 26?
Rumors and leaks about Watches 26 are minimal, but this does not mean that we are completely in darkness when it comes to new features. Based on all the rumors about last year’s Watchos 11 release and 2025 expected next-round Apple Watch model, what we can do here:
Redirected interface
It is rumored that Apple will declare a large design change for iOS, MACOS and iPados that can make its way for other Apple software including Watches.
A report from Mark Gurman in Bloomberg Claims that the design inspired by visionos will unite the form and experience of all platforms of Apple. Therefore, the phone app on your iPhone says that it should look the same on your Apple Watch.
Changes are referred to as “the most dramatic overhaul” in the history of Apple.
Along with the change, we will get the year-based naming system with the inclusion of iOS 26 and iPados 26 in Watchos 26.
Currently, different Ose all have different version numbers – iOS 18, Macos 15 and Watchos 12, to do some names. Under the new system, you do not have to remember which version number a particular OS was – you just have to mention the year.
Rumors strongly suggest that Apple will introduce some types of blood pressure monitoring equipment in the next generation of apple watches with a warning to detect prone to high blood pressure. On the software side, support for such features can be potentially added to the existing VITALS app or within a new standalone app.
However, due to hardware needs, it is unlikely that the current Apple Watch models will receive one of these new medical monitoring tools through a Watches 26 upgrade.
Again, Apple retroactively added to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 to detect sleep apnea, when the feature for Apple Watch Series 10 was announced. Therefore, Never Not Never.
New Training Matrix
Watches 11 introduced a new training load metric for the fitness app to help users better understand that their workout intensity affects their overall training progress.
Not only is it simple to use, but it is also surprisingly practical, especially for the average user (instead of hardcore athletes, which may prefer anything more deeply).
With the release of Watches 26, additional workouts and/or recovery metrics can come. For example, Apple is one of the only major smartwatch manufacturers who do not provide users daily energy scores. Samsung, Google and Garmin all do.
Often, depending on the combination of sleep quality data, overall overall trends and recent workouts, this score – usually on a scale of one to 100 – can be quite useful when planning a day.
When it comes to workout recovery insights and native stress-tracking tools, the Apple Watch Fitness App is also severely reduced. There is no word on whether the Watches 26 will either introduce, but hope here.
Greater Reliance on AI and Perhaps a Smart Siri
There are no apple intelligence features currently supported by Apple Watch. There is an AI-related message summary, which works very well in our test, but users require one of the latest iPhone models running iOS 18.1 or later.
Watchos 11 introduced a new photo watch face experience that uses machine learning to suggest the best images for your background and even arrange a watch face to supplement the selected image. With Watches 26, expect more A-assisted features, similarly, integrated within the native apps.
Watchos 26 may also potentially bring some big apple intelligence features to the Apple Watch. However, the older models, even those who support the Watches 26, can miss these AI bells and whistles due to lack of processing power. Nevertheless, I am hoping that Watchos 26 introduced at least one to write a house about AI Enhancement.
It can come as an overled Siri experience, there is no doubt for something that apple users (covers themselves). In fact, it was considered a column of Apple’s early AI rollout last year, but has since been delayed.
I am sure you do not need to tell me this, but in its current repetition, the track record of Siri for accuracy is not stalled. Unfortunately, Siri 2.0 seems to have some serious work still needs.
He said, a recent report of Israel-based Verifer (And seen by earlier Mac rumors) It suggests that if the Apple Intelligence features appear in an apple watch this year, it can only be an ultra series that supports them, and possibly just the next-gene Ultra 3.
The same report also indicates in the watches that a visual is passing through a visual reading, with emphasis on ‘floating’ elements and bold typefaases similar to visionos.
Which Apple Watch model will support Watchos 26?
Apple is very good about maintaining software support for the old Apple Watch model. For example, the 2020 Apple Watch 6 works with the latest Watches 11 release.
With the launch of Watchos 26, it seems that all Apple Watch Series will be eligible for 7 models and new updates. The list also includes current Apple Watch SE (2022) and both Apple Watch Ultra models.
