What happened to Ubuntu for TV?

How to replace Mythbuntu today

Since Mythtv app is still present today, you are not stopping anything from installing a light Ubuntu Dystro like Xubuntu, and then adding the Mythtv app to it. Is there still a place for the HTPC Linux distribution?
