There is a turbulent month in June horticulture: all transplanting that you have nurtured all the spring, from tomato to onion, finally left the nest and going into the ground. When you breathe a sigh of relief in late May, just to enjoy the landscape for a moment, it’s time to take the seed box again. Vegetables of all middle-pumigates need to be seeded, and in some cases, you can hand out and sow outside. But the strange it may also, the time has come to start thinking for time. During all the time, there is still much to sow out, from summer cucarbits to annual flowers.
Straight seeding out
Last week, I instructed that this year a brand’s first succession to make cucumber pickle based on new, very attractive trailis of a brand. It is part of the attempt to be more adventurous about sowing outside, rather than growing and planting them out. For this strategy, there are definitely risks. Seeds may not sprout, or they can exclude as sprouts by slugs or any other animal. I have aggressively looked after and have given cucumber two weeks to show myself, or I have left for the garden center for the start. At this point in summer, I think you can go to the cucumbers in any way: direct seeding or planting begins. Direct seeding requires a little more confidence and a little more patience – but less work.
A seeding experiment that rarely fails is planting of bean seeds. Whether the bush or pole beans planting, legumes are fast and easily sprouts, and they prefer to grow in place. Their care (I plant about 30% more plants in advice for loss to local wildlife), and provides strong trailis. My white climbing legumes (painted above) have already started showing myself, ten days after planting. Corn seeds are also sown in the best form, and must go in early June.

This year I decided that there is an in-in-sweet, which has planted some seeds in the tray, but the tray will remain out. It takes advantage of the sun’s heat, but it means that I can control transplanting. Especially for pumpkin, this method matters a lot to me. Because they are in the tray, I know what varieties have been sprouted, I can ensure that only the strong transplanting goes to the ground, and go in the same way where I want them. About a week ago, about half the tray is up. This method has been so beneficial, I will probably use it on squash, melons, basil, herbs and plants that I can’t find in nursery right now (such as Napa cabbage).

A challenge at this time of the year is to remember that if you do not do the succession-plants late, beat, radish and scallion, you will not take all for the crop in summer.

Sunflower seeds moved into the ground this week, in rows according to the height, with huge varieties in the back which will grow twenty feet in the air, and put a five -foot teddy bear varieties in front. Creating a sunflower wall is an easy way to create a range in the garden, and even if you do not apply sunflower this year, the plan you planted last year will be back pop up where flowers or birds dropped the seeds. You can now start planting zinias outside. Remember that zinias come from one leg to four feet in heights. Mix and match them for more impact, and consider Zinnia Mix Renee GardenThey always have a great mixture by color and shape that I like. You still need nastartium in your garden, and. They act as a Aphid mesh.
What do you think so far?

Now consider obtaining cosmos in the soil, they will grow up to five or six feet and the bush will grow, with delicate flowers that fill the late summer season. Ammi, a carrot flower that makes a good filler flower for gardens, can now be sown, as Amortus can do.
Start your perennial for next year

Once the summer starts, from my growing room, I think of the perennial for whom I have a place. These garden centers are expensive to buy, so they are always nourished at home. Austache, also known as Humingbird Mint, can be found in a wide color of colors Etsy Producers. I have not found many colors from commercial seeds homes, and you can develop a real rainbow of starting. One of my favorite July blooms, Ichinasia, now comes in a lot of electric colors and beautiful shapes, and will return every year. Now starting seeds means that you will have a well -developed four inches to start by the end of summer to get into the ground. Consider perennial salvia (there is also an annual Salvia). Friends, no longer is limited to yellow and whites you have seen everywhere: Summer Berry Yaro comes in the sweeping reds and pink. Columbins bloom in delightful summer, like upside down. Now you can start them. Finally, consider giving delphinium, a notorious difficult seeds to sprout, an attempt. This perennial spike is always meaningful after coming to the garden every year.
Start thinking about fall
You should not need to start falling by the beginning of July, but you should prepare the lists and get your seeds now. There is a great time to do this, as seeds are on sale everywhere. I receive daily sales notices from every seed house, which I subscribe, so check with the home of the nearest and what you need.
