Whatsapp for Android is called a new feature for users that will allow them to send motion photos. According to the feature tracker, the new feature was seen in the latest beta version of WhatsApp and may be available to some beta testers. With this, users can send motion photos, which capture audio and movement before and after a shot. Separately, instant messaging platforms are also asked to work on the user name, which users can share with others instead of their phone number.

WhatsApp may soon support motion photos

According For the WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, instant messaging platform is testing support for motion photos. The new feature was first seen in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.22.29 update, which is now available on Google Play. Beta examiners should be able to reach the facility and try it. All beta testers may take up to a few days before rolling out.

Depending on the screenshot shared by the feature tracker, the motion photo will be represented with a new icon with a play button surrounded by a ring with a small circle. This icon will be shown on the image selection interface, where users can select images from their gallery to send another user or a group.

The new icon appears in the top right corner, and tapping it will allow users to send an image as motion photo. WhatsApp described the motion photo as a recording of the moments before and after a photo. ” Instant messaging platform will also support audio in in recording.

In particular, motion photos are a feature available on many Android smartphones. Samsung ships this capacity as a motion photo, while Google sends it as a top shot in the pixel smartphone. Users will only be able to send these recording if their device naturally supports it. However, even though no device allows users to capture motion photos, they can still see them when others send them.

Once this feature is rolled out for all users, it will eliminate the problem where sending motion photos will be converted into video files. There is no word from WhatsApp when it can be taken out of beta.
