Why all-in-one productivity apps don’t just work

All-in-one productivity apps promise to solve your problems along with keeping an eye on everything. The idea also looks great in theory. But in fact, they do not just work in the way they should do.

    5

    They feel bloated

When using All-in-One Productivity Apps, you get access to a complete host of features. These devices have calendar, two-do lists, note-taking characteristics and more. First of all, you think you have found the holy grave of project management – until you actually start using these devices (or try to do).

Many all-in-one productivity apps have shut down the interface, especially if they are new and do not have enough time to recur on their user experience several times. The dashboard feels climk, and navigation can be more challenging than necessary.

Why all-in-one productivity apps don’t just work

Even some simple all-in-one productivity apps may still feel bloated when they have a lot of features. They are disappointing enough to use on the desktop, but their mobile apps are often even more upset. Therefore, if you want to keep an eye on your work while walking, you can find yourself disappointed.

    4

    They are heavy

One thing that is wrong about productivity for many people is that they try to finish it. Some people (and founders) are sad that more features as an app, better. What exactly happens, however, the total opposite. Instead of being a productivity God, you were overwhelmed and burnt in many cases.

All-in-one productivity apps are often heavy, and knowing where a struggle sometimes starts. In many cases, you may feel that you need to use each feature, resulting in less work actually done and more futile maintenance.

Dharna is a good example of this. While I like to use perception to take notes (although it can be an overcome sometime), I no longer use the tool to organize my life. All often, I felt that I needed to use every type of template. Some email tools with productivity features, such as spikes, have had the same effect.

Opening an app and stopping with new features rarely leads to any real productivity, and as a result, I will not use them. If you can customize the app to remove certain features, it will be a different story.

    3

    They are very incredible

Living in tech space and various apps have been written for many years, I have seen a lot of changes. I have also seen many apps coming and going, and I am very doubted about any new trend or tool that has not stood on the test of time. AI Craze was such an example in the late 2022 and early 2023; I tried many apps which are no longer present.

Many new all-in-one productivity apps, in my opinion, are not sufficient to use long-term. I cannot rely on a device that claims that it will solve all my problems, but after being out of the VC money, now every chance to get the existing or update. Even if I can still use equipment technically, I do not want to leave myself open to one of the most common sources of malware.

4 Reasons I think knowledge management equipment is overrated

For all their publicity, many knowledge management equipment are worth working more in the end.

Before I use any device frequently, give productivity software alone, it should exist for at least 4-5 years. Ideally, I would like it to be beneficial in advance until I start using it. In this way, I know that it is less likely to disappear when I start using for all features.

Along with being uncertain whether they will live in a long time, the all-in-one productivity apps are often very incredible when I use them. For example, I face a crash more often than single-use apps. In addition, I have examples where my knowledge is either not sinking or removed.

Another annoyance I often encounter that my account is regularly logged out, and I need to sign in every time I open the app. If I am trying to plan my day, then continuously sign in is the last thing I want to do.

    2

You think you need the right system

All-in-one productivity apps have an attractive category of features that make it difficult to use some of them. In addition to taking notes, calendars, and two-do lists, you can make your functions beautiful with aesthetically pleasant gant charts or kinban boards. Although this may look great in theory, if you keep things simple then you will often do less work.

When using these devices, you often feel that you need the right system. As long as you do not adapt your tasks completely and use ideal color coordination, you can feel that working on the tasks you listed is a waste of time.

You can create the right system for some time, but finally, you will be tired of the need to maintain it. Sometimes, you will have hard months, and at some point, you can ask if you also need so many bells and whistles. Keeping things simple and working is one of the best productivity strategy; Many options are overrated.

    1

You can get similar results with simple apps

While you should try to avoid reference-switching as much as possible, you can often achieve great productivity results with simple apps. Instead of using an all-in-one productivity equipment, consider using:

    • Todoist or things for two-do lists 3 (or maybe using paper two-do lists)

    • Google calendar or apple calendar for your time management

    • Long -term time limit for planning

    • Keep google to take notes, perception or apple notes

You do not need too much other devices until you are doing something severely specific. You will often feel more relaxed after switching to an easy system, as well, it will also be easy to maintain. As a result, you will be more productive than a long time.

Blocking deep work in a calendar app

The all-in-one productivity app may work for some people, but they are often very complicated for the average user. You do not need a tool that does everything, and in fact, using one can overwhelm you. Instead, you need a simple system that you can stick.
