Asus’ CX15 Chromebook There is an inexpensive, durable laptop that handles the basics for $ 159. With a standard hardware loadout and solid 15-inch form factor, you have found a solid budget device that is particularly good in an educational setting.
CX15 is one of the least expensive new Chromebooks that you can buy now, just this summer with Relavo Chromebook Plus, with a premium Chromebook with OLED, with OLED, which is more than double the price.

But in the context of the purpose, both these devices are not the essential world. The combination of the CX15 of the minor hardware and stock plastic builds lowers the prices, but it still comes with the latest productivity app in Chromos.
In terms of physical form, the 15-inch Asus CX15 is not the lightest chrombook on the market in 3.5 pounds, but the plastic body feels quite durable, especially for a orbital equipment that will be used by multiple students throughout the day.
It also comes in four colors that give it some characters: pure gray, fabric blue, cream pink, and exercise green, corporate gray and white laptops a good change of speed from the sea – and something that will appeal to young users.

Under the hood, CX15 has a modest selection of hardware designed to handle everyday tasks. It comes with an Intel Celeron N4500 processor that runs on 1.1 GHz, and an Intel UHD GPU. The laptop is operated with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB EMMC storage.
This type of storage (embedded multimedia card) is an old technology and is a good way to keep the price low, as it is less expensive than SSD (solid state drive) and a proper sacrifice as you do not need a lot of local storage on Chromebook, anyway.
Instead, working in the cloud and navigating lightly, the streamlined chromos simply feels fine, you will be expected with all the shrinking performances. Full -sized keyboard allows for solid productivity with durable, plastic keys and a functional, if perfectly standard trackpad, if slightly on the small size.

15.6-inch, 16: 9 is not the caps out and the most premium on 300 notes of FHD, but the matte coating just looks at the fine navigating chromos, working in notebooks, gmail, or YouTube, gives the device more bang for its deer with 1080p resolution.
With these lines, the speakers are very standard. They are not the best, but I have heard worse, and they just meet very loudly. For TV shows and YouTube content, they are absolutely equipped for jobs.
In terms of connectivity, CX15 has one HDMI port, one headphone jack, two USB-C 3.2 General 1 port, and up to two USB-A ports. They are not the fastest port, which is limited to 5GB per second data transfer, but again, for the price, it is more about access. In particular, it also comes with a Kensington Nano Security Slot, which increases its utility for use in an enterprise device or in schools.

The 42whr battery of the device is not particularly large, but it is sufficient for processor and performance. We got about 10 hours in our battery testing, but it did not stay for a whole workday for me, with shine all the ways upwards. This indicates plug in after about 7 hours. However, you can get a complete working day from this laptop if you reject the brightness.
ZDNET purchase advice
If you are looking for a cheap Chromebook, but prefer a big screen, Asus cx15 As inexpensive as it becomes inexpensive. For $ 159, you are getting a laptop that happily handles the basics, comes with a full -size keyboard, enough battery life for the whole day of work (until you are running on maximum brightness), and is sustainable enough for children.
Its performance has limitations – CX15 is not going to multitasks like a dream with dozens of browser tabs, but it is not made for it. In that sense, I recommend this laptop for anyone who understands the case of its intended use as a tool for everyday tasks.
If you want a chrombook with more horsepower, I would recommend Lenovo Chromebook Plus or Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. If you want an inexpensive 15-inch laptop that runs Windows, I recommend Asas Vivobuk S15.
