It is not easy to find the right balance between a smartphone and a laptop, but that’s why we have tablets. However, the flipcide is that sometimes, a tablet is not just enough. If you keep arriving for your laptop and phone, but never have your own tablet, it can just be that you move it forward – just like me.
Why did i buy a tablet
Simply put, I bought a tablet for convenience. My choice was an iPad, which at that time, the height of the technology (even though it was not the first version). This tablet was back during promotion, which was closed in the early 2010s, when I was not one with little interested in technology. But still, a tablet seemed like a good idea.
Popularity of pills played in it; Technical trends were as back as they are now, but the function of a tablet was also an important point. If I wanted to play games, doodle, or read a digital book, the tablet was very good. It was also easy for facetime, which was not available on non-apple devices. But as time passed, I found myself lifting my tablet less and less. One day, I looked at it on my shelf and felt that I forgot that it existed.
Therefore, although it came slowly, my tablet just started collecting dust, and there are many reasons that are no longer favorable to me.
Why I stopped using my tablet
On the reflection, there was not a single reason that I stopped using my tablet; The combination of some issues saw me flowing slowly.
Typing can be challenging
A touchscreen smartphone keyboard is quite small for typing and holding, and the laptop has an underlying physical keyboard. Both usually fulfill their purpose well.
Tablet, however, offer touchscreen keyboards that are large on the side. People with small hands or small sprouts, this combination usually made things very annoying. You can either hold the tablet with one hand and tap on the keyboard gently, or pop it on a surface to treat it more like a laptop. In any way, it is inconvenient.
If I wanted to type more than some words, then my tablet was not an option. Of course, tablet keyboards are available, but then you return to the laptop position, without the allowances of a real laptop. I also find external laptops or PC keyboards, which are better to type than those designed for tablets, but this can happen because I am a great fan of bouncy keys with good touch reaction. Also, most of the time, you have to buy a separate table keyboard – and at that price, why not just go with laptops?
My other technology can improve it
The phones can meet our every need, we can pursue a similar technique in the shade. This was the same with my tablet in late 2010. Why would I need anything else if I can do everything on a tool that I can take anywhere? Of course, smartphones have limitations; I do not enjoy writing a film on a smartphone or streaming film. I will also get to fill and edit such small screen form and edited pictures. But these are the tasks that can easily do my laptops.
Even the tablets that sit in the gray area between the phone and the PC, sometimes find it difficult to use. I can’t play a taxing game graphically, like I will do on a laptop, and I can’t call anyone, like I will do on the phone. I can’t easily type as I would be on a smartphone, and I cannot store big software programs like I will do on a laptop. A position in which a tablet can be more useful if you are large on reading. Personally, an e-reader like Amazon Kindle is kind to the eyes, but this is just my priority.
Price determination
The price of iPads also became an issue. As a young adult, I did not really need to drop hundreds of dollars on a piece of technology, it was out of the question. Christmas was now reserved for a new smartphone, not for a new tablet. And with a laptop and phone that an iPad could do whatever I could do, I saw no meaning in upgrading. Any way I cut it, either my phone or my laptop can do my tablet, and better.
My 2-in-1 laptop is far more useful-but it is also not right
As writing, TV show streaming, and gaming became more and more common in my day-to-day life, I realized that my tablet was not cutting it for most activities. I wanted the ease of a physical laptop, enough processing power to play more intense games, and the smartphone did not want to see things on the screen.
My solution? A 2 -in -1 laptop. I opted for a Lenovo Yoga 7, which is the most broad and heaviest of the 2 -in -1 laptop options. As a person who uses it more as a laptop than a tablet, his size never disturbed me, given that I can easily flip and prophen it for TV, movies and digital drawing.
With this, I can write my heart content, see the material on a large screen, play more video games, and easily switch to the tablet format from the laptop. I also had a touchscreen luxury, which does not offer most laptops. Don’t misunderstand me, iPads offer magnificent touchscreen, but I needed something more powerful, and Yoga 7 slipped completely in my day-to-day life.
This is not an ideal solution
There is no denying that 2 -in -1 -1 laptop is not the right replacement for a tablet. This is not in the form of light and portable, especially for large models such as yoga 7. It is also a real pain to type in tablet mode without physical keyboard.
But the couple functionality is definitely worth the extra weight, and if you want to use the keyboard then you can return to the laptop format in seconds from tablet mode. If you are worried about moving around around 3.3 -Pound Yoga 7, you can also opt for a lighter 2 -in -1 laptop, such as the Dell latitude 7420.
While I have carried forward the requirement of a tablet, I can’t speak for all. I still have friends who have their tablets to use the gaming app, browse web or stream the content. It is also worth noting that the tablets have come a long way from their early days. For example, the first and the latest iPads are completely different devices, and a clearly excludes the other today. While my issue with the tablet is that their overall task is not conforming to my lifestyle, you cannot agree!
Your tablet can still work for you, but if you have used yourself less and less over time, it may be time to move forward. You may also have better with a separate tablet. Many people have switched from iPads to Android Tablet, which can be a step for you.
