Why Samsung S95F is one of the best OLED TVs you can buy – especially at this price

    Key takeaways of zdnet

    • The Samsung S95F OLED TV offers an excellent view and gaming experience for its luxurious photo and sound quality, low delay and option to disable AI processing.
    • However, this TV is a very expensive investment, especially on large sizes, and its thin design it looks quite delicate.
    • A major color accuracy issue is that the OLED panel moves very blue, which is an important defect for this otherwise high performance TVs.

Samsung S95F The brand’s OLED is an impressive update for Prasad, with a better glow-free performance, ultra-patli build and A-assisted picture and audio processing.

And with the inclusion of Samsung’s One Connect box, you can use a single cable to add all your playback devices ultra-cleaned, almost completely wireless home theater setup. But since a premium build often comes with a premium price tag, is the S95F upgrade worth?

Also: Changing these 6 settings on my Samsung TV improved a lot of performance

I have been testing it from last week in Louisville Lab of ZDNET, and it is enough to say that Samsung has one of the best TVs in the market right now. It is a stellar option for those wishing to spend and who are looking for a qualified TV deal in this holiday season.

Whether you want to buy your first OLED TV or upgrade your current, Samsung S95F Hands-Down is one of the best screens that you can buy now. The pantone-human screen helps improve color accuracy in various types of media, including classic black-and-white Hollywood films.

While our Caliman calibration test showed a noticeable blue innings for color, AI-assisted picture mode, as well as a handful of standard picture settings, help it correct it. And if you do not consider a little blue color bad for your media, S95F still looks amazing out of the box with a bright, clean picture that produces dark blacks for sharp contrast and also easily handles the fine details.

I established the S95F side-by-side with 2025 refresh of TCL QM8K, and while TCL held its own, the difference between the two pictures was almost night and day, with a much more accurate color, cleaner lesson and very good details.

The S95F not only works with Samsung’s object tracking sound+ technology for 3D audio, but also works for a full-fledged, rich-sounding audiosperse with Dolby Atomos for Virtual Surround Sound and a full-fledged in films, music and gaming.

I tested TV with a handful of PS5 games, including personality 5: dancing in Starlite, Ghost of Tsushima, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. The dedicated gaming dashboard of the TV allows you to make a fine-tune settings such as input latency, refresh rates and HDR, while mini maps also play something interesting (if not exactly practical) like zoom.

Even with basic settings, S95F handled the pool’s game well, requiring a modest tweex to match perfectly with both in-game visual and music. The details in Triple-A titles such as the Ghost of Tsushima were amazing, showing different leaves on trees, grass blades and fine patterns on character costumes.

And when it comes to films and shows, Samsung S95F does an incredible job of upcoming old media without feeling “crispy” like something TV, such as some are used to TV; Better, AI-Assisted Processor handles the scene very well, Cassabalanca, Singin ‘In the Rain very old movies, and the origin of cats in 4K 1998 Pro-shot without a tonne artifacts or visual “snow”.

Both A-Assisted and Standard Audio Mode are great for promoting cool dialogues in films and shows, while the object tracking sounds+ Dolby Audio with Dolby Atomos to make full-sounding audio. It is particularly worth noting with music, as AI and music settings increase bass tone by balanced by balanced notes of middle and high-grains.

Also: How to disable ACR on your TV – and why it makes such a big difference

The 3D virtual surround sound aspect of the object tracking sound is clean to experience, with shifting between left and right audio channels with dialogue, explosion and other environmental sounds. It is not almost strong as installing a proper home audio system for approximately 5.1 or 7.1ch sounds, but it still helps create a more immersive experience that I appreciated, especially for gaming.

Samsung S95F OLED a connect box

    Taylor Clamens/ZDNET

The Samsung S95F is an impossible thin screen, measuring less than a quarter inch, which is great for the growing wall, but also nerve-rating for the setup. Since the screen is so thin, this pedestal flexes a lot when attaching legs or wall mounting brackets and one connect box.

Many times during my test, I really feared that the screen would flex and crack too much, especially during unboxing. Therefore, I excessive recommends to help another person maneuver to the OLED panel so that it can be kept with too much flexing. You do not want to leave $ 3,000 on a new TV to crack and break it during the setup.

    ZDNET purchase advice

Samsung S95F Even among OLED TV, there is a premium option, even running close to $ 3,000 for a 65 -inch model; And if you want an 83-inch version, it retails around $ 6,500. But if you want to invest in a high-end TV, which will not only kick a premium home theater, but as long as you can get this firmware update, you can get anything better than S95F.

So we have honored it with the choice award of ZDNET editors. With both AI-Assisted and Standard Picture and Audio Settings, you can customize your visuals and sounds to get the most from your favorite movies, shows, games and music. Ultra-split design and one connect utility is perfect for anyone, which is looking to make super sleek, almost completely wireless home theater.
