The Microsoft Windows 11H2 is rolling significant changes in the form of Windows Rejylines initiative, designed to help reduce downtime and recover from serious failures, as well as overlines of all-off BSOD Crash Screen.
Microsoft’s Windows Resilecing initiative is a new attempt to make Windows more stable, self-healing, and rapidly more stable to overcome significant failures by Microsoft. This initiative is in a direct response to recent events, causing extensive disruption and accidents due to the flawed update, like the global crowdstruk content update outage.
Microsoft has now announced that it has replaced Windows Blue Screen of Death with a new black screen of death, with a revived interface.
“The new UI is simple, and more alignment with the design language of Windows 11,” says Microsoft.
“It removes the fraudi face and QR code, and instead presents a small, readable message with stop code and faulty driver information. We have also added a hex version of the stop code to make it easier to search for help – a general user request.”

Microsoft also announced the new quick machine recovery facility, which aims to solve boot failures without the need for manual intervention.
When a system is unable to boot and enters the Windows Recovery Environment (Winre), it can now automatically connect to a network, check for fixes applied to Windows updates, and apply them when available.
This new feature can be used to automatically disable or remove software that is preventing Windows from starting Windows, all without human intervention and pushed from the server of Microsoft with a fix.
“Once capable, the feature is activated during important boot failures,” Microsoft explains.
“It uses a safe and connected Windows recovery environment to scan the Windows updates for the applied fix published by Microsoft. If a matching treatment is available for a comprehensive issue, it is applied automatically, restoring the device without the need for manual intervention.”

The objective of this feature is to stop the Windows outage on a large scale, such as when the Crowdastrik pushed out a defective material update that crashed over 8.5 million Windows device and can be fixed with manual intervention only.
This new feature is available in Windows 11 Home, Pro, Education and Enterprise Edition, which starts with 24H2 update build 26100.4770, which was released today after setting up the KB50626660 update released today.
Quick machine recovery is enabled by default on home devices and can be manually configured or can be entered on managed devices using intune, reagentc.exe, or other supported policy tools.
Microsoft states that it will further increase the tool in the future, including remediation management, monitoring, additional policy and advanced IT administrator for rollout control.
As part of the Windows Reselity initiative, Microsoft is also working with antivirus and EDR vendors to move its drivers outside Windows Keyls to prevent crash from defective drivers.
Microsoft is currently Test this new Windows andPoint Security Platform With a set of partners.
Update 7/22/25: It was a faulty crowdstruk material update to reflect the update story, not the driver.
