Microsoft has released the KB5060829 Preview Cumulative Update for Windows 11 24H2, including 38 changes, including improving taskbar and a new PC-to-PC migration experience.
KB5060829 Update is an alternative non-protection preview update that distributes updates at the end of each month, allowing Windows Admins to fix bug fixes, improvement and new features that will roll all users during Tuesday’s release.
However, unlike regular patch Tuesday cumulative updates, such monthly preview updates do not include security updates.
With KB5060829, Microsoft begins rolling a PC-TO-Pc migration experience, which enables Windows users to transfer its files and settings to new people from older computers during the setup process.
While support for this feature is not yet available during PC setup, it will be introduced with future updates as part of the phased rollout.
Redmund has also tuned the taskbar to fit more app icons when the space is limited, a new setting that can be adjusted from the taskbar settings> taskbar behavior>> Show the small taskbar button.

Microsoft states that June 2025 KB5060829 Preview Update is affected by a single known issue, due to which CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) text appears to be blurred or unclear when 96 DPI (100% scaling) is displayed in chromium-based browsers, such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Age.
Windows 11 24H2 is now in broad deployment and is available to all fans through Windows updates. Microsoft is also rolling the Windows 11 2024 update for all eligible Windows 10 22H2 PC.
