Recall was originally declared as a major feature of Windows 11 and Snapdragon-Integrated “AI” PC in May 2024.
At the time, Microsoft recalled as one of the best use cases of AI on Windows 11, but security researchers stated that recall is a privacy nightmare that captures your password and store them in plain text.
Microsoft recalled AI and promised to address privacy and security concerns by test with Windows internal formulas.
The company also alternately optionally optional and upgraded the model to filter passwords or other sensitive information.
After a delay of nearly one year, Recall is now included for PC with Snapdragon Copilot+ PC in Windows 11 Build 26100.
