Microsoft is asking businesses to reach businesses for support to reduce a known issue due to cluster service and VM restart problems after installing this month’s Windows Server 2019 security update.
As the company reports in a private advisor seen by Bleepingcomputer, the cluster service (a system component required for cluster operation) may fail to function correctly after installing the cluster operation) KB5062557 update Was released on 8 July.
The same bug is also thwarting some nodes when an attempt is made to re -connect their clusters and trigger errors on those systems where administrators have enabled Bitalocker Windows Windows Safety on Cluster Share Volume (CSV) drive.
“After installing the July Windows Security update (origin of KBS listed above), the cluster service on Windows Server 2019 may stop and restart, which may fail to enter virtual machines to re -include the nodes clusters or to rebuild several times, and continuously ID 7031 erosion, and the event login can fail to enter the event log told.
While a mitigation is available for organizations affected by this known issue, Microsoft has so far rolled it out to customers. Until the fix is usually available, the company asks the affected people to reach business aid to help address these problems.
“If you need aid to manage this issue on your outfit and apply a mitigation, please contact for the business of Microsoft,” Microsoft said.
“We are working to include resolution in future Windows updates. Once the update is released with resolution, organizations will not need to establish and configure the mitigation provided for Microsoft’s business.”
Earlier this month, Redmund addressed a comprehensive issue affecting the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), which prevented organizations from deploying the latest Windows updates due to Microsoft update sink problems.
