The web publishing platform WordPress is introducing an early version of an AI development tool, which CEO Matt Mulenweg described as “V0 or cute, but especially for WordPress”-V0 and cute and cute that is the popular “vibi coding” services to manufacture software for the manufacture by using AI Interface. Mulenveg called the company’s new WordPress AI Tool as Telex, WordCamp US 2025 Conference Last week in Portland, with other AI experiments.
During his main address, Mulenveg briefly displayed how Tlex would allow users to create gutanberg blocks – or lesson, images, columns, and more modular bits – which create a WordPress website. He showed how a developer used new equipment to create a simple marketing animation.
Available on your own domain telex.automatic.aiTelex is today labeled as “experimental”. To use the service, you type in a prompt to which type of content block you want to produce, which is returned as a .ZIP file that you can install as a plugin in a WordPress site or WordPress playground. (The latter platform is that lets you run WordPress in a web browser without a host on any device.)

The launch follows WordPress’s announcement earlier this year that it was forming an AI team to advance the development of AI products that align with the company’s long -term goals.
Quick Tester It was found that Telex still has a way, as many test projects failed or needed additional work to run properly.
Although Mulenveg emphasized that Tlex was still a prototype, he was rapid on the ability of AI to pursue WordPress Mission over time.
“When we think about democratized publication, such as embedded, is very original for the mission of WordPress, then it is taking things that were difficult to do, which was difficult to do, coding or something, and … made it accessible to the people. It made it accessible to the people. It is a fundamentally open way, in every language, in every language, at low cost, we have the rights on the open source,”

The CEO also admitted that there were parts of AI’s progress that could be scary, looking at the promotion and the matter of AI was potentially being a bubble, but it did not eliminate their enthusiasm.
“At its core, there is a seed of some, which is so capable,” he said about AI. “This is an incredibly exciting time to build for WordPress.”

Mulenveg also showed another simple AI tool that was built during one or two hours of work Contribution dayWhich offered a WordPress Help Assistant inside the browser. And he spoke of his favorite AI browser – Perplexity comet – – which would allow users to interact with WordPress from their interface.
For the legal drama around the company in the last one year, Mulenveg offered only one brief update. The company is engaged in a dispute with the hosting provider WP engine, which Mullege alleged that WordPress is working without adequate contribution to work. He wants a WP engine to license WordPress trademark, which says that he confuses customers about their association with the company.
“Quickly updated, it is doing its work through the legal system. We rely on the fairness of the courts,” said Mulenweg. “If there is any comment, I would just say that there was a disposal conference, I did not show; other CEOs did not. But it is working through it in its own way. And this is my only comment on that whole of Rigmarol.”
