Apple announced in a keynote speaker on Monday in its latest wearing software platform, WWDC 2025, WWDC 2025. The latest repetition of Watches features liquid glass design, with smart stacks, control centers, the photo watch face, and more. Apple has added the AI-powered workout Buddy to Watchos 26, which uses the fitness data history of the wearer to provide real-time, personal insight during the workout. The update introduces a new layout for the workout app and a better prediction for smart stacks. Watches offer a wrist flicker gesture to dismiss 26 notifications.

Watchos 26 comes with Apple’s new liquid glass designSmart stack widget, smart stack signals, information, control centers, and in-app control and navigation include new design. Photo Watch Face will have marks made of liquid glass. Apple is introducing this new design language in its software this year.
Apple Intelligence-operated workouts use user’s workout data and their fitness history to generate personal, motivational insights during their session. This feature provides a pap talk and marks significant moments, such as their mile division. When a user completes a workout, the workout will resume their workout statistics and congratulate them on their achievements.
The workout will roll out on the Apple Watch with a large Bluetooth headphone and needs an Apple Intelligence-SAC iPhone nearby. It supports popular workouts, including indoor and outdoor running, walking, cycling, HIIT and strength training, and will initially be available in English.
In addition, the Watches 26 adds four new buttons to the corners of the 26 workout app. This will allow the wearers to use features to customize workouts, such as workout views, custom workouts, pacers, race roots, and more. This allows users to set music and podcast in the workout app to play during the workout session. Apple Music will now suggest the playlist based on the type of user workout and personal taste.
Apple states that smart stack is improving its prediction algorithm in WatchOS 26 by including more relevant data, sensor data and data to provide smart stack smart stack signals. Smart stack signals adopt liquid glass design, and it will appear as a visual prompt on the display.

Watches will be available today through the Apple Developer Program in the beta version for 26 update developers, while a public beta will be released next month.
