In the next week in WWDC 2025, Apple is expected to preview its upcoming OS repetitions. While the rumor mill has suggested major changes in iOS 26, iPados 26 and most recently, Visionos 26, Watches 26 may not be far behind. According to a report, cupertino-based tech giants may eventually offer support for a highly requested feature on the Apple Watch-Left Party Control Center Widgets. This may potentially allow users to choose from relevant functions in addition to staple Wi-Fi, battery and focus mode options.

9to5mac report This Watches will enable 26 developers to include their own third party widgets in the control center of Apple Watch. It is said to come up with a completely adaptable layout through the iPhone. Users may be able to add, remove or re -order the widget in the control center in a simple way compared to the existing method.
With third-party widgets, Apple is expected to provide more control center options for allegedly selecting standard airplane mode, battery, do not disturbs, flashlight and Wi-Fi options.
However, this is not an estimate of the only change that occurs this year. Previous reports indicate that the company is fully prepared to revive the naming of its OS update. It is said that it is moving away from a recurrence-based strategy towards one year-based one. Thus, if this step comes in the fruit, iOS 19 can be replaced in iOS 26, iPados 19, Watchose 12 to Watches 26, and so on.
In WWDC 2025, Apple Watch is expected to get several upgrade, courtesy of Watchos 26. This includes AI capabilities run by Apple Intelligence, even if the smartwatch will not run directly the AI model.
The company has also confirmed that it is bringing an accessibility feature from the iPhone to Smartwatch.
