X Announced On Thursday, it is starting an experiment that will recognize posts that are liked by those who generally disagree. This experiment takes advantage of the convenience of the platform’s crowdsured community notes, which are currently used when the material is marked as misleading or incorrect.
From Thursday, community notes will see the callouts to rate the contributors and provide feedback about some posts. The callout will be shown based on the initial activity of the post.
X states that this reaction will help develop an open source algorithm that can identify the positions liked by people with different approaches.

Contributors will be asked to share what they like and dislike the post. They will be able to choose options such as “I learned something interesting” or “I don’t agree” while reacting.
“People often feel that the world is divided, yet community notes show that people can agree, even on controversial topics,” X has written in a post. “This experimental new feature tries to highlight views, insights and views of ideas.
The X introduced community notes in 2022 after the acquisition of Elon Musk of social networks, as it went away from traditional facts. Since then, the feature has been adopted by Meta’s Facebook, Instagram and Threads.
