Xreal is doing quite a summer kickoff after disclosing her project Abha Android XR Smart Glasses during Google I/O 2025. Xreal already makes some of the best smart glasses, and it seems that the project aura will be upgraded on a large scale.
The company was a keynote speaker during the Long Beach of California to share some more details about the new glasses.
There is a lot that we do not know. But we know that Xreal’s Android XR specs will have an area of 70 degrees to see, which is the largest area in any smart glasses. For comparison, Xreal is a Pro and a Pro that is launched on 1 July, which consists of 57 degrees Fovs, currently the wide area we have seen.
Those additional 13 degrees are important, this meta quest 3 does not have 110 FOVs, but it will still provide a large performance, expecting the peripheral vision feeling less constrained.
Regarding, by talking to the public relations head of Xreal, Ralph Jodis and Qualcomm’s VP of Product Management, we are able to confirm some details and make some educated estimates.
What do we expect to see in project aura

With Jodis with our talk and Xreal has announced between Google I/O and AWE 2025, we know that the project aura will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip in a computable compute device connected.
Xreal has confirmed that the X1S custom will run a soup in glasses glasses. If you have read our XREAL One Review, you have already seen what spatial abilities in the X1 chip, so that the additional S is definitely for the additional depth of field anchoring features for those Ar user facilities of Android XR.
And on top of it, from speaking with the shelter, I am guessing that we will see a secondary Snapdragon XR chip, which run a lot of calculation requirements of Android XR from Pak from Pak.
The recently announced Snapdragon AR1+ Chip is good for AI and simple local tasks, but for a fully shining experience, you need something like an XR2 that you find in Meta Quest 3.
We were also told that Aura would have the facility of front facing sensor including a built -in camera for gesture control and MR experiences, which you can see in the teaser image above.

We found an indication on potential features with a spatial computing demo featuring XREAL Air 2 Ultra during Awe 2025, where we played with a pinch gesture control on the AI image generator character, with a NFL game recaps with Real Time Player Stats and a photo/video gallery loader with an NFL game recap.
It acted with decency, but also felt like a task in progress. Nevertheless, it indicates the future of media control with smart glasses from Xreal. As the Android XR device, we know that it will “integrate” with Gemini.
In order to seek signs in the future of Project Ara, Samsung’s project is the Muhhan headset, which has been equally in the form of equally on the details despite leaving for a long time. We went to the hands with Mooohan during Google I/O 2025, and were impressed with both the headset and Android XR.
Outlook

“What a project aura may come in Mohan in Mohan,” Jodis told me, with some shifting for different form factors, of course. “They are Android XR experience,” they continued.
As we learn more about both Android XR devices, we should see how their growth is equal and different.
For now, we do not have dates or prices released, but both devices are in work.
If you are eager about Xreal, you can pick up Xreal One Pro for $ 649 starting from July 1, or you can now pre -order it for $ 599.
