    • Apple Maps now automatically tracks and lists the places you visit.
    • You can manage, edit or delete your visited places in Maps.
    • Visited locations can be turned off or set to auto-delete.

But any feature tracking your whereabouts could raise a red flag. Apple promises that the information is encrypted and no one at the company can read it. Still, you may want to manage or turn off this option. Here are the steps.

How to Use Visited Places in Apple Maps – and Disable It

First, consider enabling the Visited Places feature in Maps so you can see how it works and then decide whether you want to use it.

Go to Settings, select Apps, and select Maps. Tap Settings for Location and turn on the Precise Location and Visited Location switches if they are off.
