I consider being a clean controller required to play good games. Over time, the controllers become dirty, whether it is dust, sweat, or rough matches or tears from playing environmental factors, which we cannot control.
Regardless, it is best to keep your controllers clean. Today I will call you to the places you probably don’t think about. Although I will use my pink Xbox wireless controller for image examples, this advice may also apply to Sony, Nintendo and Retro controllers.
Dead skin may get stuck in the seam of your controllers
Many people do not think about this, but we lose a lot of subtle pieces of dead skin daily. Usually, we do not see this skin falling. However, if you examine the sides of any old controller that has been well used, you will see quite chronic skin.
This was something that I did not know that I did not start working in the second-hand video game store. Most “well -used” controllers that come, have a lot of dead skin stuck within their seams. It is worn more to some controllers, with rare cases with such dead skin that both sides of the case began to separate from each other on the seam.
To clean the seams of your controller, you will need a thin-stuff object that can be anything like nail cleaner, toothpick or dental tools. To take any remaining debris with a microfiber fabric to push the dead skin trapped before wiping it, rush the tip of these objects under any seam on the controller.
This cleaning can be gross as gross, it is better that you often do that to avoid skin formation.
Cables and ports still need to take care
Due to most modern consoles with wireless controller, it is an area that many people often do not clean. I would advise you not to ignore it because sometimes wireless controller can lose juice, which requires them to plug. There are also cases where controllers may need to use with their original wires due to the failure of Bluetooth.
As annoying to deal with wires in the 2020s, they are still very important for the lives of your controllers. Another place is that there is another place to connect with the ports, which connect with these stars, especially in your controller. As a general rule, you should be hardworking while connecting anything to the ports. However, shaking things in objects is a human action that many of us cannot stop ourselves from doing. When dirty, the possibility of breaking these ports increases, which is why it is important to keep them clean.
The best way to clean the wires will be by spraying a rip or paper towel with a cleaning spray of your choice, which is approved for use on electronics, and is approved to wrapping around the cord. After wrapping, slide the wire gently to raise any dust and frozen earnings. In this process, make sure that there is no touch in your cords or rips on PVC as exposed wires can be potentially made dangerous.
To clean the ports, you only need a Q-tip that is moist with isopropile alcohol to gently scrub on them. To ensure that there are no permanent liquids, you can gently tap the q-tip on a paper towel before scrubbing the inner parts of the ports. Ensure that alcohol is completely evaporated before reusing your cable.

You can break your controller by not cleaning the battery compartment
If there is one place I want to clean you, it is one. Although many controller are moving away from disposable batteries, there are many wireless devices that use batteries. Despite being covered by a case, the battery compartment is still a very important place to keep clean, as it becomes too dirty. It can exclude the entire controller from the commission.
One of the main methods is that this area may be dirty is from the battery itself. If you leave a dead battery in a controller, it can scrape over time to cover the entire compartment in battery acid. Depending on the leaks or levels of corrosion, it can be too late to clean because the battery can make the acid controller dangerous.
The best way to maintain this area of your controller is to change the battery when needed, as well as remove the battery from the controller, if it is going to be unused for a long time. Even if a battery is not being actively used, they can still break or wear in storage as time.
I also recommend a quick scrub of the area with a toothbrush, which contains disinfectant spray approved for use on electronics on bristles. You do not need to soak the area, but keeping it clean with dust and dirt will help prolong the lifetime of the controller. Just make sure that the battery compartment is dry before placing the battery back, failure to do so will increase the chances of rust.
Before disposal of any battery, be sure to check what type they are because different steps can be made to get rid of them. If your battery is rechargeable (lithium-ion or nickel), you should be able to bring them to most large-nam stores such as Best Bye or Walmart to recycle. Meanwhile, if they are using once (alkaline, zinc-carbon), then you have to check the battery disposal policies of your local community before settling them.

Grime on the distant edges of your thumb
Finally, one of the spots that are easy to forget while cleaning, somewhere you wonder you that you are often ignored: the edge of the thumb.
Although it is one of the things that use the most when playing gamers games, many people do not clean their thumbs. Wiping your controller helps them look clean, however, you can miss some spots where dust and dirt can build overtime. It is more likely that they may get stuck during the gameplay, or worse, the thick can cause flow if the thumb edges are left uncontrolled.

One of the best ways to clean the thumb of your controllers is using a toothbrush to scrub them down. When cleaning, be sure to deliver brushes to the brisles of the shore to the far edges. To help see where some dirt may still have, to ensure that you transfer the sticks in all ways to check each part of them.
Like the battery compartment, make sure that you do not soaked your controller when scrubbing to avoid getting liquid standing inside the device.
Hopefully these tips will help you ensure that you keep your controllers clean! Although they will not stop normal wear and tears that get our equipment over time, cleaning them properly will ensure that they will have a long lifetime.
