ZDNET’s takeaways
- Gemini Live now works with calendar, map, placing and functions.
- Update is rolling for most Android and iOS users.
- It can combine events, guide routes and manage list or notes.
In May this year, Google started Mithun Live with screen sharing and camera access for Android. Google is slowly integrating the feature that lets you ask Gemini about anything on your screen (or which you can see with your camera), in your apps suit since June.
Mithun Live is getting a little more useful this week, as it is officially rolling out for the calendar, fungus, maps and task apps.

First viewed by 9to5googleMost users are now looking at Google’s real-time AI voice assistant in new apps. You can tell if the update has hit your device by opening the Gemini app, tapping the live button in the right corner and looking directly above the live control.
If you have capacity, you will see small chips for connected apps when Mithun Live is accessing them.
New tricks of Gemini Live
Calendar
With the calendar, you can examine your events for the day, create a new event with your voice, and even use your camera to indicate the details (eg date and time) to add that event to your calendar. I gave it a quick test with a flyer for a school event, and I wondered how easy it was.

However, I really blew me, however, when I tried it with my Alma Metter’s football program for the upcoming decline season. I told Mithun that ever since I am a season ticket holder, all household games have been added. AI was able to know which sports were home games and used to add events to my calendar including time and rival. Even Live went on the list, “I have added games against app State, Georgia, Army … in my calendar.”
MAPS
Gemini Live for the map is useful to receive guidance at a certain location, and it also works with other Google apps. I asked Live to “guide me for the event that is on my calendar today” (the same school event that I had earlier added), and it showed me the way. It did not pull the map by itself, but it created a link that I could easily tap to go.
Work
When it comes to tasks, Gemini Live can show your saved lists. You can easily do this on your own by pulling the task app, but live is an easy way to reach your lists. I was able to add and see the tasks in my list what was in my two-do list.
Keep
Similar to functions, the integration of the fungus with Google Live is simple, but makes the existing capacity a little easier to access. I was able to add notes to keep.
The new capacity is available on both Android and iOS versions of Mithun Live.

As a reminder, you can close Gemini in your Gmail, Docks, Photos, and more if you have nothing with Google’s AI.
