The next time you cannot remember the name of the song that is stuck in your head, Gemini may be able to help you.
A low-following feature of Google Assistant was the ability to identify a song, either by listening to a track that was playing or lukewarm of the tune. The pixel phone has a similar feature, but if you were on another Android device, you were just thinking that the assistant switched to Gemini (or you resorted to the third-party app like Google App or Shazam).

This week the name of a song is getting a little easier, as Google has quietly given Mithun the ability to name the tune. The official announcement has not been made, but in the last several weeks, users have seen a new “search a song” button at the bottom of the Gemini auxiliary.
It was on my Pixel 9 Pro when I checked.
How to use Gemini’s song search
When you tap on “Search A Song”, a pulsed orb will appear to show that the app is listening. If you hum a tune or if a song is playing adequately enough in the background, Gemini will compile a list of potential matches, which is ranked by a percentage of closeness.
This google seems to be an accurate feature in search. It was not specifically built or properly tuned for Gemini, but it provides a useful new feature for the AI assistant of Google.

I was able to access the feature through the Gemini app, asking it to identify a song, but not through Mithun Live. When I tried to identify a real song playing through both the app and auxiliary version, Mithun was in a hurry to answer with the right song.
Perhaps my lukewarm skill was an issue, but the lukewarm option did not work. When I tried twice through Assistant, I felt that the real song I was thinking was in third place on both times and was not present at all through the app.

Although it is not a new feature, what is new – or at least what is back – the ability to search a song with a voice prompt.
