If you’re an AT&T Internet customer, there’s a good chance your monthly bill is about to increase.

Over the past few days, customers began receiving an email that almost all AT&T internet plans were increasing by $5 per month, or $60 per year. This comes after a similar increase last year.

The new price will be effective from December 1, 2025.

In A post on RedditAn AT&T customer shared an email he received about the increase. After explaining that “connectivity is our top priority,” the company said it was increasing the price of Internet plans “to ensure that we continue to provide you with the quality service and support you deserve.” The email said the change may “require some adjustment” for customers and that “a variety of connectivity solutions and plan options” are available.

How can you avoid surges – types

After I contacted, an AT&T representative confirmed what those options were. If you’re not already enrolled in Autopay and paperless billing, you can save $10 per month by automatically paying from your bank account or $5 per month by connecting a debit card. If you’re enrolled in those programs, there doesn’t seem to be any way to offset the increase.

There is a small group of customers who will not pay this increase – customers who signed up last year and customers who take advantage of the AT&T Access program that provides low-cost Internet service to eligible homes.

Of course, price increases are nothing new. It seems like streaming services announce price increases every year, as do smart home security services and software subscriptions. However, home Internet has become a necessity for the most part. And since many people only have one or two options for service, there’s not much you can do about the price increase except deal with it.
