YouTube shorts, updating shopping experience for the company Announced On Wednesday. The platform is launching new shopping product stickers to make it easier for the audience to know that the products used in the short are shopped.
New stickers can be a way for creators to increase their earnings. During its test last month, YouTube found that shorts with shopping product stickers said that more than 40% of the clicks on products compared to shorts with shopping buttons.
Previously, tagged products were displayed in a banner in the lower-left corner of shorts with a shopping button. Clicking on the banner opened a list of available products to browse and shop.

Now, manufacturers can tag their small products so that they can automatically generate a sticker based on the first product tagged. They can then accommodate the size and placement of the sticker.
When many products are tagged a small tag, viewers can tap down on the sticker to see the complete list of products. Once they click on the product in which they are interested, they will be redirected to the retailer’s website for the product.
Shopping product stickers are rolling out next week and will be available globally, expect in South Korea, but YouTube plans to start the facility there soon.
YouTube CEO Neil Mohan revealed in Kan Lions 2025 that shorts are now higher than average 200 billion daily viewsMohan also shared that Google’s VEO 3 video generator, which can produce both videos and audio, would come into shorts later in this summer.
