YouTube is making waves by bringing some major changes in its app for TV and gaming console. But don’t really expect something better, just more than the worst feature of most streaming giants.
Hello more shorts and different types of shelves

The app will add several shelves to provide you with quick access to the video. YouTube explains more What is expected about:
“Continue your search” Shelf shows you your top three discoveries, allowing you to jump back to the right where you left.
“Suno Again” Shelf is a dedicated music shelf that shows you the top songs you discovered and heard earlier.
“Live performance, remix, and covers” Shelf shows you other versions of your favorite songs, beyond the official versions.
The primetime channel Shelf, for those subscribed, shows the material for your most recently discovered and primetime channels.
“From your top channels” Shelf shows you your top viewed YouTube channel.
A podcast tab will also let you jump directly from your library to the podcast.
But if you are not a fan of shorts, then we have received some bad news for you. Now they will be separated from the long video to easily access. Watch Next feed will cry a shorts and a shorts shelf on your subscription tab. just wonderful.
You will also be able to loop more ingredients. First it is available only on the playlist, now you can loop all VOD materials. Just choose Horoscope From playback settings.
One of the more interesting changes seems to have a better preview experience. Inline preview has been expanded to channel pages, membership pages and pages of subjects. The roll-out of the Emergent Channel Previews has also been completed. These channels are fullscreen background preview on the header that help in making the page more immersive.
Manufacturers will also be able to see a new device type card in studio analytics to watch Watch Times from mobile, computer, TV and tablet.
Do not mix vertical videos and TV
I am a fan to see YouTube on a big screen, and these changes are not at all minded. I hate the shorts completely, so I am not excited to see those who are more prominently painted. Why do we need more vertical videos on TV screen?
But other changes, like better preview, looks really good.
Also, I am not thrilled that more AI is coming on YouTube. Once you search for a query, the AI will address the overview query and display the relevant clip under a new carvoter.
