The zoner studio takes both on a Windows-Cowal Photoshop and Literoom-or is not powerful (although a group of regular updates is changing), but a good entry-level/intermediate photo editor and organizer that comes at a reasonable price.
After a recent change from Zoner Photo Studio X to Zoner Studio, to better reflect broader use, the company says, I took the latest version for a spin to see how it measures against some of the best Adobe Photoshop options.
Zoner Studio: Pricing and Plans
The zoner studio is available for a monthly membership of $ 5.99, or $ 59 for the year. A family plan, allow two or more users to use the app in the same domestic use, available for $ 9.98 per month or $ 98 per year.
For me, here is a large plus pricing. A free version may not be available (although there is a welcome free test), the cost is low, especially when compared to the apps of the creative cloud suit of Adobe. Photoshop and Literoom Photography Scheme is currently priced at $ 22.99 per month. Your other option will be an affinity photo -like device, which costs $ 70.
The main difference between the zoner studio and its rivals is that the zoner is available only on Windows machines, and it is slightly higher to entry-level and intermediate users than Antinity Photo and Photoshop’s professional-grade photo editor.

If you are familiar with photo editing software, you will not have any problem in navigating the zoner studio. And, if you are not, it is not especially difficult to find out – for me, it is part of the appeal of the app, which is very welcome to new users who want to do more with their photos.
The main part of the screen is dedicated to your selected image, with files and folders below, which can be scrolled with your mouse. This is a good touch, which makes navigation very easy.
Where new users can arrive Unstac, there are five options on the right side of the screen. Manager, development, editor, prints and videos (Ok, they are the last two self-vigor). Therefore, a little exploration will not go to the amies – the zoner facilitates at least non -reliable editing, making you experiment with new devices without modifying the original file.
Originally, the manager is to organize and tag the photos. The development is on the lightroom of the zoner, where you can edit raw images, and the editor is for all other tweex that you want to make in your media, such as adjusting color temperature, or sharpening images. All this is well placed and is usually easy to find out what you are looking at – and most options are also repeated in the menu with the ribbon, which you are relevant depending on which mode you are in.
Zoner Studio: In Uses

It is not particularly difficult to use zoner studio, but if you are new to editing image if you are new to the sheer amount of options available here, it can still feel a little heavy. I also advise beginners to hover on side -panel icons – there are lots of here, and not all of them are particularly comfortable, so there will be a name and brief description of each with your mouse hovering.
Your photos automatically appear in the zoner, as there is a file explorer tab on the left side of the screen (there is a import function with the ribbon, too, but I never need to use it). These will appear on a time -line in the foot of the main panel. When you have selected your image, it can be edited and adjusted through the editor tab.
All familiar equipment is here, from crop and walking to watermark or directional staining. As expected, then, there are piles of tools with exposure (shadow, opposite, and so on), white balance (temperature and tint), and color (eg saturation). I also like the tone curve, as you’ll find in the lighter, to lighten an image or black, or to bring out the specific color channels.

There is also a quick editing option, which populates the panel with the main devices, most photographers and designers are used without the need of a fambal through the menu. The editing process can be streamlined with the choice of further quick fix and, ideal for social media, quick filters. They all work immediately, just a press of button.
The software contains some AI-powered equipment, which gives all good results effectively. This includes AI masking, which has been found in the development tab. By choosing this, you get the option to automatically choose the subject, background, objects or sky for fine-tuning. To streamline the workflow, anyone, these are using devices, and I was very happy with the speed and accuracy here.
One of the stand-outs for me is the AI background remover, which I found that it generally works very well. Once completed, I could then add a color background or make a transparent for composing in other images. Sometimes, the process removed the elements of the image theme – usually when on a deep or similar color background – but overall, I had no serious complaints with this one -click background removal tool.
Perhaps the biggest issue, for those wishing to remove the switch from at least Photoshop, lacks support for .PSD files. Instead, the software uses its own .ZPS files, which functionally work with layers and effects. But there is no way to import or export Photoshop files in the app.
Overall, the zoner studio packs to the wealth of tools for photo editing. Some will be used if you are new (and if you are familiar with any best photo editors at all). But if you do not require .PSD file support, then you like it very much here, especially for the price.
Should I buy Zoner Studio?

Buy it if …
You are new to photo editing: It is a great place to start if you are new to edit images, but want a good amount of powerful tool to bring the best in your photos.
You don’t want to spend too much: The zoner studio is much cheaper than Adobe Photoshop or similar Pro-Grade Package.
Do not buy it if …
You want an original app: If you only want to brighten crops or images, you will get a lot of other options that will not be overwhelmed.
You want a professional-level app: Similarly, if you want a supporter-level software that gives very good results, you will get better results from the choice of Photoshop and Literoom.
