“This potential vulnerability requires companies to identify every system and app that uses cryptography, classifies data by sensitivity and longevity, to decide what is priority, and audit the existing weaknesses to indicate existing weaknesses where traditional encryption can be bypassed.”
How CISO’s role has changed during your career, and what do you see as the biggest cyber security challenges for the next generation CISOS?
Laura Deaner: “When CISO’s role first appeared, security was considered as an IT compliance checkbox. Over the years, high-profile breech-like as if Code red event in microsoftOrganizations were created to see security as a strategic, board-level priority. Today, CISOS work directly with authorities and makes a real impact on business decisions.
“For the next generation of CISOS, it is not enough to keep up-you have to lead the change. The flood of information, enhanced by social media and rapidly growing dangers, means that CISO must be constantly for learners and optimized leaders.
