Once a niche or premium car is seen as an accessory, the combination of dashakam factors has become increasingly required. Highly congested roads, more cars than pedestrians, infrastructure maintained infrastructure, and sheer lump sum negligence are some of the reasons behind the shocking number of road accidents in India every year. Now, there are two ways to go about it. If you want to reduce the risk of a road accident – follow all traffic laws and driving on the road should be safe from others. While the East can still be managed by taking responsibility and being vigilant, the latter is rarely under our control. Although it is not perfectly possible to eliminate the risk of a road accident, it is a way to ensure that if you have the worst, you have a fair coexist-a dashtam.
In such scenarios, a dashakam becomes a requirement, which gives you an undisputed video footage that potentially protect you from wrong defects, as well as financial and legal consequences.
However, with the excess of options available on the market, it can become quite a challenge to choose the perfect for your needs. In addition to popular brands like 70MAI, CP Plus, and Qubo, Pioneer has also entered the Dashakam market, and today we have Pioneer VREC-H320SC, priced at Rs. 6,000. But is it enough to bring a fundamental need for peace of your mind? I will explain in our pioneer VREC-H320SC review.
Pioneer VREC-H320Sc Design and Installation: Simple and straight
- Dimensions – 90 x 34.8 x 54.25 mm
- Power Supply – 5th, 1.5A12V socket
In any way the pioneer VREC-H320SC can be considered a compact decay as contrary to the Vrec-H120SC model, which we reviewed earlier. From the front, Dashakam can easily be done wrong for a compact digital camera, which is equipped with a 2-megapixel sensor. The overall body of the accessory consists of a solid construction and has a soft-touch black texture, lending to an upmarket appeal. However, it can attract dust particles from time to time, so be sure to give it a good clean once at a time.

Now, the back of the Dashkam is the place where things become interesting. It sports a large 3.0-inch LCD display. You can manually adjust screen brightness, although it does not have an auto-brightness feature. Through the screen, you can see the recorded footage or enable real -time view when driving. Although it is not a touchscreen panel, four capacitive buttons are located below the screen for various tasks, including browsing through recording, adjusting settings and still capturing pictures on the road.
There are two ports at the top of Dasakam: a USB Type-C port for power that connects the 12th socket through a car charger and a secondary camera port. The latter is used to connect a secondary camera, as it is a dual channel Dashakam; However, you will need to buy it separately. The cable supplied is quite long that you can tuck it within the roof lining of the car, so that it does not stick out. Surprisingly, there is not a PRY tool in the box of material, which means that you have to go either and buy or do without it.

The installation process of pioneer VREC-H320Sc Dashcam is straight. Stick a transparent film on your windshield at a suitable place, attach the 360-degree holder to the dashashkam, and then secure the entire package in a transparent film. Now, plug into the dasatam in 12V charging sockets, complete the initial setup process through the fellow app, and you are good to go.
Pioneer VREC-H320SC features and fellow app: Going easy

The pioneer is compatible with the VREC-H320Sc Zenvue Dash camera app, available on both Android and iOS platforms. The next event is the page, which shows emergency recording stored on the microSD card of Dasakam. In the gallery, you can watch stored videos, photos and time-laps videos. Finally, the settings page allows you to replace G-sensor sensitivity, volume and SSID and passwords.
In terms of features, the pioneer VREC-H320SC 1080p provides support for full-HD video recording. It is equipped with a 2-megapixel sensor with a 139-degree Field of View (Fov) and a 3-inch IPS LCD screen. GPS woodcutter feature can keep a detailed record of your routes.
Other features include automatic event recording, alternative parking mode, storage support up to 512GB and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features.
Pioneer VREC-H320Sc Perform: It gets correct
- Image Sensor – 2 -Megapixel
- Video recording resolution – up to 1080p
While the features are really important, the most important parameter on which a decasam is judged is its video recording capacity. And here, the pioneer VREC-H320SC well fare. During my testing period, I set video recording to the highest available resolution, 1080p.

In the case of daylight, video output quality is good. You get a wide Fov, which also helps to monitor vehicles in your blind spots. It can capture the complex details of the environment with good clarity and dynamic range. Even at a distance of about 10–12 meters from your car, the number plates are quite readable. But even further, it becomes a bit difficult to identify the number.
The performance of the night of Dashakam is also satisfactory given its price limit. The quality of the video is passive, and I was able to read the license plate information of those people within the 10 meter range. However, it was not the same when I tried to get the number plate of vehicles passing fast.

A large plus point of the pioneer VREC-H320SC is that it can record both audio and video simultaneously, which can prevent you from streamlining false allegations and insurance claims.
Dashcam also has GPS woodcutter functionality, which saves your passage. In addition, the company has equipped it with two ADAS features – forward collision warning and lane departure signal, both issue an audio beep as a warning. However, they are almost gimmick and do not add any real values to the overall package.

Additionally, there is an automatic event recording feature that takes advantage of the underlying G-sensor to activate emergency video recording in an accident or emergency event. You can choose between three different sensitivity levels. However, using dashashkam in my time, I found that it is highly sensitive. Dasakham often started recording emergency video, even though I used to hit a pit or speed despite being set in the lowest sensitivity setting.
The final feature on the pioneer VREC-H320SC is an alternative parking mode. The company claims that even when the vehicle is parked, it can record the photo and the engine stops. An additional kit is required to use this feature. It hooks the dashakam directly for your car battery. However, I was not able to test it because the kit does not fall into the box and needs to be purchased separately.
Pioneer VREC-H320SC decision
Pioneer VREC-H320SC has a retail price of Rs. 11,399, but can be purchased for low as Rs. 5,973 during various sales incidents throughout the year. At this price point, it is undoubtedly a good option to consider. It has a strong design and good video output quality in daylight. Low-light video recording is also inactive, and Dashakam also records audio with video footage.
There are characteristics such as automated event recording with an underlying G-sensor that improves overall security despite being slightly on the sensitive side. It also supports double-channel connectivity and can be combined with a secondary dashash for extended protection.
In short, the pioneer VREC-H320Sc Dashcam is a reliable option if you are in the market for a new dash.
