A new animated kids series expecting a premiere this year will not be led to the TV network. Or a streaming service. Instead, the founders of the production studio planned to launch the media plan on a decentralized web platform, which uses blockchain technology.
And yes, a crypto wallet will be included.
We ghost the media – established by Chris jammalAn assistant director for “Bob’s burger”, and Jacqueline DemusThe manufacturer of the hit Children’s show “Peg + Cat” – is a TV production studio, leaving the traditional show release methods in favor of a decentralized approach, which is usually referred to as web 3.
The studio announced on Friday that she was forming a team Lamina1 To launch the new animated kids series, “Owen nowhere.”
The Lamina1 was founded by the “Snow Crash” author Neil Stephenson and was launched in 2022 as a layer 1 blockchain platform, designed to give creators to the creators to protect, control and mudlify their intellectual property. Lamina 1’s overrouuding mission, however, is to manufacture an open metavors. Stephenson’s Metavars vision – a concept that he coined in his 1992 novel – a virtual world where users get their lifetime 3D avatar.
Blockchain technology and metavors have been discussed in the world of technology and are slow to adopt massively. The introduction of children’s shows in this place is particularly bold, the production studio will have to find out how the children will navigate a platform, which requires a crypto wallet.
But Jammal and Demas are banking on the freedom of a decentralized platform, which allows the audience to interact and even participate, as a sales point that will win on users.

Owen b. The new show center around Glome is an erstwhile material manufacturer on a family road trip, documenting his trips to unusual tourist attractions, which begins with the biggest ball of Sutli in Kaiser City, Kansas. The family has a dynamic funny, sweet and slightly relaxed, with Owen’s adopted vampire parents, a magical conversion vehicle, a pet cat and a fish in a stroller.
But as Jammal and Demas told Techcrunch, it is more than a show. This is actually about their mission that “set a new standard for the future of children in the decentralized era”.
The project will be developed and seen at places launched so far of Lamina 1, a offer that enables creators to create their own virtual world. In these worlds, manufacturers can create interactive experiences, digital items and materials in various formats including 2D, 3D, promoted reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).
Jammal and Damas have imagined “Owen Kahin Kahin” as an immersive experience that allows fans to join the world and contribute to their ideas for the series.
Virtual space will also include voting such as exclusive-back-sin content, collectible digital assets and online community-operated experiences. The studio believes that the most attractive feature is an opportunity for the audience to make important decisions for the story, such as suggesting destinations for family adventures.
“We were thinking (fans can vote) where glomes can travel ahead. Do you want them to come to your hometown?

However, it is clear that the show has all the materials to echo with the audience and attract their attention, there will be challenges, including the parents to assure the mother -father to manage a crypto wallet for their child.
Parents may worry that introducing children to this ecosystem, even indirectly, can expose them to financial manipulation or loss, even if the parents are under control of the wallet.
However, some parents are more open to this idea, some have sent their five-year-old children. Crypto Summer CampIn 2022, Zigazu Introducing NFTs to several IPS including CCOMELON.
“This is a big topic of discussion. It is, ‘What permission do we need around it?” Lamina 1 CEO Rebecca Barkin said, “I will not tell you that we still have the correct answer … we are going to learn real fast because it develops, what safety is required.”
Owen is not anywhere’s digital assets to be deployed for fans to join the show and they are able to contribute financially to the production of the show by the owner of Digital Collectables – in which promoting a community of supporters including artwork, character and organizations – promoting a community that invests in its success.
“That token can be used as a loyal token, it is not about cash and business and traditional crypto goods. It is about token-gaunted access and rewarding those who are sharing things that are really creative contributions for the community,” Barcin explained.
While the new series is mainly aimed at children and pretense, it is also designed to appeal to adults. It is the same how “Bobs Berger” attracts many adult fans through its cheerful story about parenting.
“We are not going after that super young demographic,” Barkin said.
However, they may need to reach it with transparency and possibly control the parents to appeal to their entire audience.
The space product of Lamina 1 is slate to launch in the fall. Another virtual world launched in spaces is “Artifact”, a project of Vatta, a visual effects, known for its work on the “Lord of the Rings” film Triaology.
Lamina1 has raised $ 9 million from notable investors and angels to date, such as LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Bloq’s co-founder Matthew Rosezak.
