Amazon select product pages, the short-form AI-Audio Product Summary on the company is testing the product summary Announced On Wednesday. Audio summings are voiced as to what Amazon says to “AI-Interested Shopping Experts” that discuss the major product features, customer reviews and information on the web.
The new AI product summary can be accessed by tapping the “Highlights Highlights” button in the Amazon shopping app. Amazon will test the feature on products that usually require consideration before purchase, the company says.
The idea behind the convenience is to help Amazon customers to save time while shopping and get important information through a conversion, discussion-style format.
The company wrote in its blog post, “Convenience makes product research fun and convenient – it is useful to discuss possible purchases to make your shopping easier, whether you are doing multitasking or walking.”

Summary is currently available on select products for some American customers. Amazon plans to roll out more products and additional American customers in the coming months.
The company states that this feature uses large language models (LLMS) to pull the script by pulling from customer reviews and information from the web, and then converts this material into a short-form audio clip.
Amazon says the new feature is included in its current suit of AI-managed shopping facilities, including Rufus, its generic AI shopping assistant, and interests, an AI feature that monitors new products matching your interests.
Amazon is not the only technical veteran who is taking advantage of the short-form AI-operated audio to help users inform users in a quick, efficient manner. Last year, Google’s NotebookLM rolled out the audio overview, a feature that users the ability to generate podcasts with AI virtual host based on documents shared with AI Research Assistant, such as course reading or legal border.
