Chromebooks are known for being affordable, but lenovo ideapad slim 3 This is definitely one of the more affordable options. On sale for $176, it lives up to its name as a thin and lightweight device that can easily fit in a bag and go wherever you go.

This is a laptop that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an affordable device for work trips or as a secondary laptop while traveling. With fast, lightweight ChromeOS, you can check email, surf the Web, browse YouTube, and stay up to date with workflows in Google Drive.

64GB of local storage doesn’t leave much space on the device, but that’s not the issue here. It is a tool built for the cloud and works with Google Chrome. However, it does have a microSD card slot reader so you can use external storage.

So what kind of hardware specifications does a $176 laptop come with? You’ve got 4GB of memory, the aforementioned 64GB of eMMC local storage, a MediaTek Companio 520 processor (an ARM-compatible chip), and of course a 14-inch HD display. The result is a laptop that’s great for handling everyday tasks, but I wouldn’t expect top-tier performance on demanding workflows.

As far as connectivity goes, you’ve got a USB-A and -C, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader, a great feature that opens up a lot of storage beyond the device’s own local drive.

If you need to be on a call, it has a 720p HD webcam with a privacy shutter, allowing for good performance in Google Meet or Zoom.

As far as battery life goes, the lightweight hardware and MediaTek processor are quite efficient, with Lenovo saying you’ll get up to 13.5 hours on a single charge. This can easily mean a full workday.

Weighs 2.87 pounds and comes in a unique “Abyss Blue” color lenovo ideapad slim 3 chromebook A solid choice for students or professionals, especially on sale for $176 during Prime Day.
