When we write about hot new features for best TVs, we usually discuss visual reforms. This makes the TV a total understanding to consider displaying a visual medium.
But in 2025, while everyone focuses on how bright TVs are getting, I am excited about a completely different functionality-and an audio-based feature that is barely mentioned.
It is called Auracast, and now, it is available in many models LG’s 2025 TV lineups, including all OLED TVs of the brand.
So why am I so excited about the inclusion of Orakast in LG TV, and what can it really mean for the future of TV audio? Let us dive into Auracast before we look at the ways of changing our lives.
What is Auracast and why is it important?
Auracast allows many devices to be connected to the same audio stream from a transmitter. It is built on Bluetooth le (low energy) audio, which was introduced with Bluetooth 5.2.
This may look worldly, but the potential use for technology opens a wide world of access.
When I went to a performance of Auracast in CES 2024, several situations were established to show various use cases.
These included the settings of an airport, where you can connect to your gate to the Arakast stream, which can easily be able to listen to flight updates and boarding calls, once you can connect with TV with different commentary tracks showing different sporting events, or not remembering the easy and important information in a lecture in a collection setting.

But in all those examples when you are out and about it. How can it benefit us in your home?
The first possibility has to be done with fixing unexpected TV dialogues. Instead of adjusting the amount of TV up and down between cool dialogue and bombing action scenes, one can use a pair of headphones or hearing AIDS to promote frequencies to listen to dialogue. In addition, the frequency tuning may be individual for each individual hearing, or set to the profile prescribed by an audiologist.
It can be used as a combination with a soundbar or AVR, which can provide a home theater presentation, to maintain the lower frequencies (such as physical rumble during action scenes) to maintain that immersion.
It can also allow everyone in the room to be seen using only audio from their earbuds and headphones – especially useful for apartment residents with children who have gone to bed or harass neighbors who disturb neighbors that tease even a little noise.

Instead of an AVR with wires spread in the room, or a soundbar with proprietary wireless rear speakers, a TV home theater may be the audio hub.
The sound does not need to be limited to a single broadcast, either. A TV has the ability to transmit several streams simultaneously, providing separate language tracks for the same material.
Beyond connecting headphones and earbuds, Auracast can revolutionize the way we have established and uncomfortable speaker home theater system. Instead of an AVR with wires spread in the room, or a soundbar with proprietary wireless rear speakers, a TV home theater may be the audio hub.
Many streams can be transmitted to various channels in a surround sound configuration. Since the speakers will only need to be auracast-competent, you will not be closed in an ecosystem, which will have to work together (such as Sonos or Sony line soundbar and wireless speakers), and the system can be easily upgraded.
Dolby has a similar technique for wireless placements of speakers called Flex Content. We will first look at the speaker that supports it, the TCL Z100, later this year that can be combined with the Sangat TV of the 2025 line of TCL.
2025 and more business on LG TV: Hands-on Impression

I recently got an opportunity to spend a few weeks with LG C5 OLED in my home and find out all its characteristics.
While digging through the menu of the TV, I was surprised to find the aurasted broadcast listed in the sound menu – 16KHz, 24KHz or 48KHz with options for broadcasting.
After turning on and selecting the quality settings (naturally I went with the highest), I tested it with three different headphones and earbuds including the technique – JBL Tour One M3 Headphones, Earfun Air Pro 4 earbuds, and LG Xbum buds.
The signal (a separate iPhone or iPad was used for each device) requires apps for three headphones and earbuds to achieve, and TV streams must be selected on individual apps.
Tour One M3 and Xbum Buds worked quickly and innocent, while Air Pro4 took a little more finalizing to join. He said, once I was completed, all three were connected together, listening to the “tibba”, because it was streamful with the maximum app on the C5.
I did not face any lip sink issues, and was also able to play audio through my Onkyo Rz30 AVR with no audio delay between AVR or any headphone.
So far, the only official announcement is that 2025 LG TVS has come from support aura. star keyA hearing aid company. This news was later raised by outlets that focus on hearing health and hearing aid market, but not by a large scale consumer technology community.
The product for C5 confirms a quick search through the page that Auracast is mentioned zero, just that the TV Bluetooth version supports 5.3, which also does not guarantee that Auracast is supported. (Bluetooth 5.2 and later chips are capable of all aura, but the functionality is required to be activated by manufacturers.)
After spending time with LG C5, I contacted LG to confirm support for Auracast and informed that all 2025 OLED with TV -with the QNED85A series and auracast auracast above.
Future seems promising

I should indicate that LG is not First TV to support Auracast, as Samsung added support to its Neo QLED 8K and Microlade TVS from the first time in August 2023.
But like LG, there is no information about any of Samsung’s 2025 TV product pages, just that Bluetooth audio is supported – Samsung does not even indicate which is Bluetooth version.
Even though the Auracast specifications were introduced a few years ago, we are still at the beginning of comprehensive Auracast implementation and purpose.
This year, we have seen more earbuds and headphones available with functionality and it is easy to connect than before. The growing list of supported equipment has a promising step for LG TVS in addition to Auracast.
Hopefully we will continue to see companies hugging accessibility opportunities for our products and Auracast will become a part of our technical daily life.
