When Microsoft first launched its Kopilot Pro Plan last year and wanted an additional $ 20 per month at the top of the Microsoft 365 family or individual membership to get AI-operated office facilities, it was asking a long asking. Microsoft is now Microsoft now after bundling the office AI facilities in the Microsoft 365 subscription earlier this year. Divertingly Missing Copilot Pro and Microsoft 365 in a new Microsoft 365 premium membership.
“This is going to be our most powerful AI and productivity membership for anyone really,” says Gareth Osrik, Copillot Pro and Senior Director of Marketing for Microsoft 365, in an interview, Ruckus“It brings together our reliable collection of productivity apps with Copilot built-in, with our highest copillot use boundaries and exclusive features.”
The Microsoft 365 premium will be priced at $ 19.99 per month, the same price as the chatgpt plus membership of Openai, and the GPT-4O image generation and voice, as well as the facilities such as the Copelot Podcast, deep research, vision and functions will include the highest use boundaries of Microsoft. It will also include all Microsoft 365 family benefits, including access to office desktop apps for six people, 1TB of storage per person, and more.
“We have actually seen this membership for any solopreneur, professional, or high recipient, who are looking to deal with the most demanded productivity tasks with AI,” says Oystryk. “When you look at the value received with this plan at this price point, and you stack against the competition, you find that the value is very undisputed.”
This competition is clearly chatgate plus. Openai Markets Chatgpt Plus as a productivity subscription, with extended access to GPT-5 and messages, file uploads, data analysis and high limit on the image generation. Microsoft 365 premium has an additional advantage of access to the office desktop app with Copilot features, which is directly manufactured in them, as well as 1TB cloud storage per person per person.
As Sumit Chauhan, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s office product group, told me earlier this week: “Productivity is our DNA, we are office. While others will try to repeat us, there is no option for real thing.”
Microsoft Microsoft is also opening access to its researcher and analyst region agents for 365 premiums, and they will soon be available in Word, PowerPoint and Excel apps.
Perhaps the most complicated part of Microsoft’s 365 premium launch is how and Microsoft’s current family and personal membership will now allow consumers to enable consumers to enable AI of Microsoft in their office app at work. “We have seen a lot of employees, everywhere, bring our own AI to work,” says Otric. “Microsoft with 365 premiums, with personal and family, you can actually bring Copilot to work with you.”
Microsoft will now lighten the Microsoft 365 Copilot features, your workplace will usually have to pay a membership if you have your Microsoft 365 premium, family or personal account. All you have to do is signed your work version of the office with your personal microsoft account, and it will enable AI features inside your work office app.
It essentially enables Microsoft 365 Copilot license, while maintaining all general safety, compliance and enterprise data security facilities to ensure that corporate data with your personal microsoft account has not been shared. “This capacity works with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Onnote, and Outlook with Windows PCs, Mac, iPad, and more,” says Oystryk. “It doesn’t work on the web … but in the apps that most people use, you can sign in that capacity and apply that capacity.” It will also be able to enable or disable appreciation sign-in functionality.
Unfortunately, Microsoft is still limiting the Microsoft 365 family or premium subscription to the main account holder at work or the ability to unlock AI features at home. “We certainly have a response to offer some types of sharing from our customers, so we are evaluating some options there,” says Ostrich.
Existing individual and family customers will also get GPT-4O image generation and voice access, with higher usage limitations than free copilot tier. Copilot chat, which was earlier available only to Microsoft 365 commercial customers, is also coming for all consumer membership.
All these changes are effectively the end of the Copilot Pro, which remained for the latest AI models and power users to get priority to the latest AI models and higher use boundaries after Microsoft’s office AI facilities with Microsoft 365 individual and family membership earlier this year.
“Copilot Pro is not going away completely, but we will stop selling it,” Oasterik. “We are not automatically opting the Copilot Pro subscribers for Microsoft 365 premiums. We have no time yet and when we will shut it down.”
