Microsoft is examining a bug that causes Copilot issues when many office apps are running together on the same system simultaneously.
According to a support document published on Friday, it affects Bag Microsoft 365 customers who launch access on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Onnote, Publisher, and the same system.
This problem is triggered when an office application, such as Excel, has already started a webview2 example, while another app, such as Word, attempts to start the second example.
However, if the first application is closed, the Copilot Pen will open without any problem in the second application.
“Many customers have reported issues with office facilities that rely on WebView2, especially Copilot, Share and Room Finder,” Microsoft said,
“The most impressive symptoms are the failure of the Kopilot pane when many office applications are open simultaneously.”

The office team is currently working to solve the issue and will share more information if additional details or fixes are available.
The company is also investigating another bug affecting Microsoft 365 customers, which causes the Classic Outlook email client to crash at the launch, which can only be resolved through an exchange online support.
Since the beginning of the year, Microsoft has also addressed a bug, which has broken the email and calendar drag-and-drag-drop functioning classic outlook after installing Windows 24H2 updates, as well as CPU Spikes while typing the message in the classic outlook.
Recently, Redmund fixed a bug, which triggers the classic outlook crash while starting new messages or opening an email and shares a temporary fix for an outlook bug that triggers errors when opening an encrypted email sent from other organizations.
On Friday, it also resolved a wrong positive issue, which inspired the defender to the closing point customers to update the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) firmware of its device to tag it as older to update the firmware.
