As I can, try, I can’t stop scrolling on social media. Most of the time, this is not a major problem – in addition to increasing my anxiety or stress, as anyone will do good dumkol. But what is worse than dumacrolling through bad news? Spooler, absolutely.
Spiiler is probably the main thing for films and TV shows that consider digging these apps for good. For some reason, my social media feeds feel that I have seen any and all popular materials that are present, and Second They should see every discussion and meme possible in the air – the spiler is cursed.
Fortunately, this method of digital life may soon change, at least on threads. On Monday, Mark Zuckerberg made a small announcement On the social media site of Meta. If you see the post from Zuckerberg’s main threads page, you will see: “Spiiler Alert:” Cover the rest of the post after a gray bar (desktop) or an animated blur effect (mobile). Click or tap on that sensor, and you will reveal the rest: “We are testing a way to hide the spiiler in your threads post.”
This feature is currently in testing, so only a limited pool of users will have access to it, but I welcome it. (It is not that I especially use threads.) As you can see in images below (Via techcrunch), Once the feature rolls out, you will be able to highlight the selection of text in a thread draft and choose a new “Mark Spiiler” option that appears in the pop-up. Your selection will be hidden from those who come to your post, until they tap and see what you have written.
What do you think so far?
Of course, this type of spiiler is not the first platform to offer mask. Other social media companies, such as discords, redit and mastodon, have offered posters to spoil the poster for years. There is no way to apply the convenience, but it is just thoughtful: you never know from whom your post will arrive, and if you care about a show or film to post it, then you probably allow people to give an opportunity to see that material on your own before getting spoiled.
