I came around my Peloton profile while walking around something interesting: “The ability to download workouts.” This is a spontaneous small button that appears in your profile if you are looking at the desktop website, but when I put it out of curiosity, I realized that it is very powerful. Here I got out of it and how can you get it.
How to download peloton workout data
First, log in to your peloton account Company WebsiteEasy. Then, navigate profile , Exercise,

To the upper right, you will see Download the workoutClick on it and a CSV file will be downloaded immediately to your computer. You should be able to open it in Excel. I do not have Microsoft Office, so I opened it in Google sheet. same difference. Either way, you will get a spreadsheet with all types of data for each workout you completed:

How did I use this data when I received it
First of all, I removed the columns that I did not care, as if I had to tell that when I took classes, I was first released. After this, I have mixed a total of how many calories I have burnt since receiving my peloton bike four years ago and how many minutes I have worked, just to see. Then, I started searching for the pattern. I generally like cycling classes led by Kodi Rigsby and for example, directed with Aditi Shah, but what data can they return that they are my favorite instructors? Yes, this could happen – but it also showed me that I am in favor without realizing it. I just selected the column, made chart once, and examined it.

Knowing which instructors I am attracting more, to inspire me and help me find classes, it is roughly useful, but which workouts are the most effective for me? I scrolled the total output and calorie burn columns. I sorted the total output from high to low, examined the results, and then did the same for calories burning calories. My highest output was apparently a 30 -minute Lady Gaga ride. Nice to know (This class was also one of my highest calorie burn people.) I can aim to take 30 minutes of classrooms or, more really, more, including Gaga’s music. (When left to my own devices, I choose my song as a soundtrack for my workouts, so it is data to confirm that it felt as much as I liked in cycling.)
What do you think so far?
I sorted all my columns in this way, seeing that I spent the least energy, where I rode the highest resistance, and so on. Being able to do this, especially after taking a few hundred classes, was illuminated. This is probably not as useful if I was starting and only a handful of workouts – but still, I think it would be helpful to clearly see calories, output and other matrix.
I will spend the rest of the day in search of charts and looking for patterns. Along with this (and a little knowledge about navigating the spreadsheet software), I can make charts and look for insight, such as I perform better or worse in the morning or run long distances in the afternoon. When you are trying to fit the workout throughout your day, it is easy to feel whatever you feel (or whatever you can), but you are making patterns (whether you know it or not) and access to this data can help you crack the code of your own best practices.
